Another year and another broken promise
Discussion
'No if's or but's immigration will be reduced to the tens of thousands', this was the promise made by our P.M. back in 2010. Immigration numbers just released show that immigration is now higher than at any time at 268,000 people (2013 - 2014) mainly from Poland Bulgaria and Romania.
Mr Cameron has just felt another nail being firmly hammered home. Glee for Mr Farage I would imagine. What a complete and utter shambles this E.U. is, thankfully we did not join the Euro monetary system.

Did you see and hear the Tory boy on the Daily Politics try and answer this failure ? Apparently, targets are now bad and we should be focusing on the quality of those coming. He then went on to ask bizarre questions about if people would be happy that the Polish nurse was removed from her job here today.
He was being asked about how you control immigration and then went on to say how benefit reforms will reduce the pull factor on to then acknowledge the small percentage that are claiming benefits and floundered when asked how it could in anyway significantly help reduce the number Cameron promised to achieve. I think that's called trying to have your cake and eat it as well as being utterly clueless.

Isn't this what politics is all about? Making wild promises to gain power and not being able to do much about any of them? And then the classic ah but if labour hadn't done x,y and z I could have done something about it... Maybe... It will be exactly the same with the next lot.
Yes pretty well sums up the state of politics, not just in the U.K. either. As much as I would love to see a complete change in Government I fear UKIP simply will not have a clue regarding how to improve our lot! But then as was previously mentioned on another thread, 'can they be any worse'?Soov535 said:
Simple answer is vote UKIP to shake them up.
ummm NO it isn't! The day UKIP get voted in is the day I leave the UK.Simple answer is get on with your life and don't worry about it.
What they don't take into account is how many brits leave to go to Australia/New Zealand/Germany/Spain.... it all balances out, and getting a kitchen fitted has never been so cheap! Rock on!

2) You are pleased we are losing British doctors to Australia (a points based system of entry) and getting kitchen fitters (open borders based entry)?

It was daft to make a promise over an issue impossible to control.
The EU is looking more like a circus everyday. Just seen the €315b stimulus that is based on 95% private debt. IE less than €20b of new money.
Farage for PM anyone?
