What I can't get my head around is why a parent is not in court for murder, I seriously would not care about the repercussions and personally think 8 years inside for ending the life of a person who did that to your kids is worth it.

I have no connection to the girl in the story, and have an understanding of how some people grow up in bad situations and this makes them poor quality adults.

Because putting down my PH pitchfork for a moment, I realise that unless something is done to prevent people becoming like this in the first place, the only answer will be an endless rearguard action of trying to punish people after they have ruined their lives and the lives of others.

Appalling though his crime is, look at him. He has no chance at life now, and probably never really did. He is a product of societal failure as much as the cause.

Think for a minute before responding with the usual PH battle cry of "burn the witch"....
