Pretty crazy! We had a "psycho" teacher at our school....all he ever did was throw a chalk eraser at someone. This guy appears to be raising the bar.

2 others were injured! I reckon it was a bunch of "promising young footballers" pushing a psycho teacher.

so on the news just now a pupil has been seriously assaulted at a school in nottm - chief policeman comes outside and does interview where he says can the press respect privacy and not name names as its a local man and they dont want any incitement. camera cuts away to bbc reporter and he goes the police havent named him but we can confirm his name is "....".

ffs what happened to innocent before guilty. if this bloke has assaulted someone then yes lock him up but until that is proved they should not ruin his life. anything could have happened in a school the 14 year old could have assaulted him first and it could have been too much self defence. but no he's a bloke so he's prob a paedo too. whatever happens his life and career is over.

It has been reported that blunt instrument was used and that the boy has serious head injuries. I hate to guess what has happened, but the pieces of the jigsaw are looking quite bad!

Doesn't one create the other?

Well probably.

There is the chance the teacher was a psycho regardless of his pupils though.

Anything could have happend really, but the outcome, regardless of guilt, is that the teachers life as he knows it is over.

Nah. Assuming he did it, and what he did was an offence his teaching career is over. But he'll do a bit of time and be out in the not too distant future to do something else. Probably become a Politician.

The kid probably deserved a thrashing. I mean I can't see a Teacher deciding to pummel the nicest kid in the school to a bloody pulp....can you? Possibly the Teach went too far. But theres a few people I went to school with I'd happily knock off if I thought I'd get away with it.

Could it be this scenario:
  • 3 lads who are "good boys really" wind up teacher who gave them a bad grade
  • They shove him about a bit and produce the "blunt" object and start to "have a go" at him
  • Teacher turns out to be a "bit 'ard" and defends himself with unfortunate results.

I really really hope it is. Problem is it could be a class full of witnesses who don't give a damn about the truth...

If so, I wonder if these "witnesses" will all have talked to each other to come up with the same story....

Just heard on the news that the teacher is also being questioned for other assaults.

Any guesses on the weapon of choice to throw that's within easy reach of a science teacher.

Bunson burner?
Globe?
Oscilloscope?
Glass measure?
Van de graaf generator?
A heavy element?

I'm quite surprised with the way kids are these days, the stupid H&S rules and the "Its not his fault he has a disorder/syndrome/compulsion" culture, more teachers don't go crazy ape bonkers with their drill & sets.

There was some pikey mother on the TV the other day claiming her child had "Authority Resentment Disorder" rolleyes Which means that everytime someone went to tell him off, he would behave even worse. I mean FFS....

When I was at school one of the (up until this point mild mannered) history teachers punched a pupil in the face. As a 13 year old I thought it was hilarious- the kid he punched was a gobby bully who certainly had it coming. Of course, as an adult, I realise that isn't acceptable for a teacher regardless of provocation.

Still makes me chuckle to remember it though.
