OK. After my brief flirtation with UKIP I have now decided to vote tactically as alas I am in a Winky heartland.

2005 results:

Jessica Morden, Labour 14,389 45.2% - Never heard of her.
Ed Townsend, Liberal Democrat 7,551 23.7%
Matthew Collings, Conservative 7,459 23.4%
Mohammad Asghar, Plaid Cymru 1,221 3.8%
Roger Thomas, UKIP 945 3.0%
Liz Screen, Socialist Labour 260 0.8%

Ergo my choice, to get the Wink out, is to vote Tory or shudder Liberal. My thinking is the Liberals will attract more 'swing' voters in a Labour heartland, as they will be fked if they are voting Tory.

Ergo - I should vote LibDem. Not that we will get a 20 odd percent swing. Bloody Welshies.

Yes, they are s - but lets remember - the goal is to remove ZanuLabia.

Thoughts?

Tegwin is right - a libdem vote is a vote for the euro, our central bank in Frankfurt and no nuclear deterrent. Fine if you want those things, but if you don't, don't risk your vote on them.

The Libdems can't form a majority, so your best option if you live in a constituency governed by Labour, where the Libdems are second, is to vote Libdem.

If you want Labour out, that's your only option.

I only wish I was able to vote tactically. mad Or indeed have any influence at all.

The joys of living in a guaranteed Labour town - 35% majority in my part and over 50% in the other seat, so I may as well draw a piccy of a cock & balls FWIW.

My constituency would vote a monkey in if it was wearing a red rose unfortunately.

I'd like to vote UKIP but the last time around, Labia had 20000 votes and the Conservatives second with about 5000. UKIP were about 960.

If I were you, I'd vote Tory. There's not much in it between Tory and Lib Dem, and it's never certain how people will vote.

I live in a 100% safe Tory seat, and I'm thinking of voting UKIP just as an anti-EU vote. If my vote wasn't so worthless, I wouldn't though.

from this side of the election it's hard to imagine a worse fate than Further Broon, but a vote for Clegg will cause the total disappearance of Great Britain as he wishes to Eurolise the whole bloody issue

We'd have to spend Greek water soluble currency and destroy our armed forces as we become region 14 (or whatever!)

I want UKIP to win

they wont (this time)

so I have to vote for a different pillock

CMD this one time only

In my constituency in 2005

Labour - 50.9%
SNP - 21.4%
Lib Dems - 16.0%
Others - 11.7%

The sitting MP is Major Eric Joyce, the man with the highest expenses in parliment, ste in the army and ste in politics.
To have any chance of shifting him I have to vote SNP.
I don't want to vote SNP, but any other vote just gets this wkstain on the bedsheet of humanity back in Westminster.

She is completely in agreement with Gordon Brown on her voting record.

That shows you the kind of person she is, clinically insane.

Vote Lib Dem, they will not get into power so you do not have to worry too much about their policies and every seat they nick off Labour increases the chance of a Conservative Majority.
To those who say that you are wrong and should vote with what you believe, if you want Conservative government and voting Lib Dem increases the chance of that happening then you would be daft not to.

I'm in the exact same position in - I want to remove Labour so would happily vote Lib Dem if it would help remove a MP from a Labour stronghold.

Here are my results:

Nick Raynsford Labour 17,527 49.2% -11.3%
Christopher Le Breton Liberal Democrat 7,381 20.7% +5.1%
Alistair Craig Conservative 7,142 20.1% +0.9%
David Sharman Green 1,579 4.4% +4.4%
Garry Bushell English Democrats 1,216 3.4% +3.4%
Stan Gain UK Independence Party 709 2.0% -0.1%
Puvarani Nagalingam Independent 61% 0.2%

The constituency is made up of working class areas in London. It looks like the Lib Dems took quite a bit of the 11.3% that Labour lost last time round so surely it'd make sense for me to go with the Lib Dems in the hope they can oust the incumbent?

To all those advising to steer clear of a Liberal vote I say this. I do not want a Liberal govt.

In a Labour stronghold with Tory/Liberals equal second, what do I see happening? Well, I cannot see dissatisfied died in the wool Labour voters ever voting Conservative. Ergo, I think IF they choose to change their vote then they will go Liberal. Therefore I think this is the best way to endeavour to oust Labia from my constituency.

That is all.

I despise the Labour Party so much it physically hurts. And yet, I would sooner vote Labour than LibDem. The lasting damage Clegg would inflict on this country would make Winky's and his band of idiots look like the vicar's teaparty.

I suppose I could move to a Tory stronghold but I like where I live (Blackheath)! London's a funny place where you can have a very nice and expensive neighbourhood but 1/2 a mile away can be abject poverty.

Personally I think you are probably right. You can always declare that have voted for number two. Which means if he turns out to be a right st you're still bang on the money.
