Mandelson memoirs

Don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m rather enjoying some of the interesting snipets that his PR people have been giving to the press
This morning’s in the Telegraph, is a great illustration why only the certifiable would have voted for him, to have the war criminal Blair describe you as:

"flawed, lacking perspective and having a paranoia about him"
"beyond hope of redemption"
"He's like something out of the mafiosi. He's aggressive, brutal ... there is no one to match Gordon for someone who articulates high principles while practising the lowest skulduggery" rofl

Is by political standards a rather damning statement!

The big decision of course, is should I actually part with some cash and buy the bloody thing!

I'm looking forward to reading it.

Some of the best memoirs have been from people I really can't stand.

It will give those away that he wants to, they will be calculated.

Exactly. So there will be the real secrets that we would want to know - those that could indict Blair and Brown for example, which will be withheld.

Plus it seems all to close to a criminal profiting from their crime to me to pay that creature for a book.

I really grudge giving Mandy any money, I'm sure all the juiciest bits will end up in the papers.

I also think it could be a rather good read when it comes out.

Slimy, 2-faced, technically borderline criminal champers-leftie confirms everything that everyone always suspected & deep down knew to be true, about the morally-corrupt NuLabia party, BLiar & Brown.

News?

Next!

Just looked on Amazon and they've already discounted the book down to £11.50 from £25 hehe

Think the library option is the most worthy, not least as my local one was saved from labour induced closure last year

Have been following this in the Times - eye-opening as to the hatred between GB and TB, including the Teddy Bear plot to reduce GB's power. Still won't buy it though, the thieving dupicitous scum that he is smile

How about a 100% tax on politician's books released straight after they leave office?

I wonder if he's doing a signing anywhere, might be a good chance to get a good punch in his face.

Give it a few months and it will be in every Bargain Bookshop in the land at around £2.50 (just like all the others).

...guaranteed!

Or possibly even cheaper in your local 99p shop!!

Personally, I think it should be pulped. And it could well be as there is sometimes more money in pulping than remaindering.
61 million books were returned to UK publishers last year. I didn't get one returned but then I'm at the smaller end of the scale and I know what I'm doing!

Cherie Blair's autobiography, for which she was said to have received a £1million advance, also ended up in Bargain bookshops up and down the land. It sold only 23,412 copies in hbk, and 10,240 pbks since 2008. Publisher made a lot there then?
