Here

The "east, west, south and north" is probably my favourite.

The President is indeed satisfied with the intelligence that he received. And I think that's borne out by the fact that, just as Secretary Powell described at the United Nations, we have found the bio trucks that can be used only for the purpose of producing biological weapons. That's proof-perfect that the intelligence in that regard was right on target.

Don't forget though that he definitely did have WMD, as the Kurds found out to their cost.

During the end of the first Iran-Iraq war on 16 March 1988, poison gas was used; by whom is yet unconfirmed. The US then said is was Iran.

How to relate the war of aggression 20 March 2003?

Guess the neo-cons just got confused by all these confusing tenses

As the joke went 'how did the US know they had weapons? Kept copies of the receipt'

"Neo-Cons"; aren't you a bit tired of harping on that yet? This thread is a sad attempt at keeping the "boogeyman" alive. Why not spend your energy beating on the current idiot in the Whitehouse instead of looking for every weak angle to keeping bhing about a past administration? Just a thought.

Or how easy it still is to get people behind anything by playing by Göring's rules; especially when enough of the media were along for the ride (as long as they behave themselves and don't take any photos of coffins).

There was no way they weren't going to come up with some reason to stomp into Iraq - PNAC (check how many of that little cabal ended up in the Bush admin) had a hard-on for it back when Clinton was still in office.

The leaders of the FauxNewsmobofwhitepeoplewhoareangrybutdontknowwhy(tm) are probably itching for Iraq to fall to pieces so they can blame it on that evil-no-birth-certificate-having-afro-commie-nazi-moozlim

You see, your hatred and vitrol is evident itself, just in another direction. How are you any different? This is quality comedy.

How long 'till this gets re-classified as "definitely Iran"?

Lessons learned is a term we are very comfortable with. This thread is about harping on and beating a dead horse, not learning lessons.

So what have you learned from the Bush gov fooling the voters, when educated people already said the war is unreasonable? The peasants supported the "axis of evil" and "axis of weasel" slogans.

I'm not so sure, as I think there would be blind compliance with another phoney war, no matter what the consequences are. My opinion is that Bush's Iraq misadventure has cost them Afghanistan, a far more dangerous and perilous threat to the world. If they had not become distracted by their greed in 2002, they would have finished the job there. They didn't and today 7 more soldiers were killed in bombings to add to the steadily growing death toll.

The peasants vs. the educated people? Very nice that.

Nah; Marf touched a nerve, you just exposed yourself as a overly self important ass. Any questions?
