This line pleases me greatly though:

No chance of ever getting parole. He will at least serve his (pretty rubbish) 24 years.

I just don't understand what drives someone to purposely cause pain to a baby? What possible satisfaction could be gained from it?
It's absolutely defenceless and relies on you for everything.

I'd love to know what made him into a monster. Whether it was something during his childhood, odd brain chemistry or a mixture of both.
