I think that we (me, you, the police, the government and the press) should STOP CALLING THESE CASES HONOUR KILLINGS. There is nothing honourable about it.
Also, don't refer to it being a "custom" or "tradition" or any other bullst from "back home". Presents the wrong picture IMO.
The sooner we start sending deporting these types the better. I don't see why the door is only one way. Everyone gets a chance, but if you fk up, it's off home with you. Also, don't refer to it being a "custom" or "tradition" or any other bullst from "back home". Presents the wrong picture IMO.

And fk your 'human rights'.
I think I will be in danger of agreeing with Jimbeaux as well.

Any citizen who espouses beliefs (that fellow citizens believe he will act upon) such as honour killings, whether as a joke or in seriousness, will be immediately placed in custody and evaluated for such tendencies.
If you continue to read on for a few more words, you will see that I wrote, "and then evaluated for such tendencies". This is where the gov't had an epic fail. Their evaluation produced the wrong conclusion. These people presented zero threat, yet were still refused entry.
I wouldn't expect you to understand, Jimbeaux. You pride yourself on being one of these imbeciles.

Ad homs are not helping your case. I wouldn't expect you to understand, Jimbeaux. You pride yourself on being one of these imbeciles.
As for the authorities having some sort of mind reading ability, it's just ridiculous. In this particular case the father, Mohammad Shafia, was under oath with his hand on the Koran. He lied out of his backside. Do you really think "We'll ask them" is a viable approach?

There you go again. I am not "one of those"; a totally different set of folks, but what do you know? Please try harder to refrain from practicing toro-feceology before you find yourself put back into the corner. Even a dog learns to stop peeing on the floor once he is slapped around a few times.I wouldn't expect you to understand, Jimbeaux. You pride yourself on being one of these imbeciles.

I wasn't referring to this particular case. Jimbeaux mentioned my comment about the Irish tourists who were denied entry on the basis of twitter posts saying they were going to dig up Marilyn Monroe and were heading to LA to destroy America. Their being detained and questioned is fair enough. Denied entry, though, and having their luggage searched for shovels? You must be having a laugh. And it wasn't just the Daily Mail that reported this.As for the authorities having some sort of mind reading ability, it's just ridiculous. Here is some good insight IMO.
The following excerpt is regarding Canada's "Multicultural Act" that has its roots in the Trudeau administration:
"According to Dr. Salim Mansur, a Muslim Canadian professor and author, such policies are ultimately “racist.” They keep immigrants confined to their “group” and do not encourage members to become “individuals” and “citizens” of a modern liberal democracy."
I agree with Dr. Mansur. A policy meant to protect a people practicing their culture may have actually contributed to keeping said people isolated and insular.

The head of the equlaity commission here said the same thing a few years ago. He was lambasted. The following excerpt is regarding Canada's "Multicultural Act" that has its roots in the Trudeau administration:

With equality it seems you can only be multi-cultural. Even if that other culture doesn't believe in multi-culturalism, which Islam fundamentally can't.
