Queen, 86 years old.
Duke of Edinburgh, 90 years old.

They have both been stood for over 3 hours waving to the thousands of people who came out in classic British weather to celebrate Diamond Jubilee. The boat they were on had thrones for them both, but no...

They are still standing! Respect!

Respect indeed! Good on 'em.
4 hours now and still going!

I am impressed the BBC have managed to balls up every important sound or visual event that has happened today!
Watch Sky for 5 minutes and you'll find they're far, far worse. When the AV gear isn't on the piss there's a rambling Irishman with verbal diarrhoea chattering over the important bits. By comparison, the BBCs coverage has been stunning.

We were supposed to have seen a BBMF Spitfire in Twyford today.

For once I knew about it in advance. Sodding weather.
Was looking forward to this. At least the B17 flew over on Friday.

Weather been crap all day.

Well that throws down the gauntlet. I defy any country on earth to send a 90 year old lady on a boat trip in such grand style.

Miles of electric cable and heavy rain do not mix well. I am not a fan of the BBC but I think they did ok

What a fantastic pageant! Must admit to having a tear in my eye when the London Philharmonic were playing/singing Land of Hope and Glory/God Save The Queen.

And well done the RNLI, because the Thames is a much safer river now than in 1953. Sky News are really struggling for anything to say.

Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, even the soulless republican protesters looked miserable, which I'm sure is their happiness.

Well, I for one thought the whole regatta was billiantly done. The co-ordination was superb and the spectical fantastic. This is what we are really good at and it showed the world how to do it, even if the weather was rubbish.

Happy Diamond Jubliee Your Majesty.
