Absolutely, it's not like any male soldiers ever suffered mental difficulties following a war is it? -coughs- Desert Storm -coughs-
Well done martin. I said MAY I did not say do. There is a huge difference in the words. It is unknown at this point how females would serve within infantry roles from a mental viewpoint. There are however potential issues.
Woman have a different mental make up to men and studies have shown early potential social problems however it is believed they could largely be overcome however combat wise it is a whole new debate since there is not enough info to make a call on that.

But I think we can agree a female penpusher should be paid the same as a male penpusher can't we? Which is what the equal pay act was designed to ensure. Seeing as I doubt either of us has served in the military I personally put more stock in the views of the people who train the military personnel and the generals who deploy them. If they think the woman can do the job then who am I to argue?Personally I see little point in carrying on a discussion about a piece of legislation passed nearly half a century ago.

Break it down to merely a penpusher then sure in theory.Personally I see little point in carrying on a discussion about a piece of legislation passed nearly half a century ago.
But it depends on whether the legislation is written correctly which 9 time out of ten it isnt which allows for mess to be created.
However you are right its a dead issue as are most things. The legislation is here and its here to stay.

Can you imagine Ken the sour faced old crone and the national embarrassment of him representing London?
I don't live in London any more but I was so glad the drunken old commie lost again this time round, just because I didn't want him being the public face of anything when the Olympics were on.Thanks, London's voters!
