Apologies I don't speak German. Aber.

Where I'm from brought is always (incorrectly) used like that.

That made me chuckle. Every time I see Staffy's l always go up to the owner for a chat and a stroke of the dog. Lovely dogs with the right owner.
How do you gauge someone as the right owner, before risking having your hand taken off. Quite easy really and only takes a few seconds.

Some do and some go nuts and kill people like today’s stabbings at the Hampton’s Sainsbuys. If there is even the slightest/tiniest percentage a dog could turn don’t get one that’s built like a brick s
t house that can shake a child around like it’s a rag doll.
I don’t care how nice and loving a dog is, that’s negated once it kills someone or something
Yes. ![](/inc/images/censored.gif)

Any dog.
Hence, focusing on the breed is completely missing the point.

To a stranger my lab probably appears scarier than the staffy. He is 30kg of muscle with a large bark ( the clue that the bark is meaningless being the fierce tail wag that usually accompanies it).

Any religious fanatic could fly a jet into a skyscraper or bomb a city. But when it happens, I can have a pretty good guess at which religion it is.Any dog.

I'm not recalling too many stories of poodles with bows in their hair mauling kids. That's not to say they can't. But they don't.

Yep, because the current enemy of choice is Islam, but would you have said that sentence 20 years ago? I'm not recalling too many stories of poodles with bows in their hair mauling kids. That's not to say they can't. But they don't.
Remember before that, Russians were the bad guys in Hollywood films...

Spot on there Jim.
I always make a point of thanking people when they scoop up their dog and ask if their dog is dangerous as i walk my staffy. It leads to some interesting conversations and a bit of education for them.
Our little monster is a Staffy/lab/americab bulldog cross. Her colourings and build make her look like a little rotweiler.I always make a point of thanking people when they scoop up their dog and ask if their dog is dangerous as i walk my staffy. Some people are all excited when the come to day hello asking if she is a rottie pup and then back off a bit when i say she is a staffy cross
Most common Dog bites listed below in Order.
Dachshunds
Chihuahua
Jack Russell
Australian Cattle Dog
Cocker Spaniel
Beagle
Border Collie
Pit Bull Terrier
Great Dane
English Springer
Staffies are the third most popular pet in the country so the odds are it will be the third most likely to bite dog.
I own a pair of Rottweilers and surprisingly as much as they were hated and vilanised in the 80's they have been perfectly behaved and not eaten any of my friends, nieces, nephews or family.
It really is down to the owner and what stuns me is IF the dog was wearing a muzzle why did someone take it off? Further to that and possibly more importantly why was the dog away from the owner for that period of time.
I really feel for the kids and the guy who has to step in and restrain the dog. I trust my dogs 99% but even if I had King Charles spaniels I would not trust them 100%

Where on earth did you get that list from? As there are only a handful of acds about and they love people (yes there was on bad incident in London with a man bitten but no way that list is accurate for the uk. Working dogs on ranches in the states ,maybe but not uk, no way. I doubt any of you here have ever seen one.
Edit found it. " a recent study " doesn't say where from. I'm sure all 50 uk acd owners were asked.
But does say this not btes at all as you suggest but most aggressive including towards other dogs. Lies damn lies and stats.
" It looked at the different types of aggression such as towards other dogs, towards strangers and towards owners. Some of the results were surprising, below are the top ten most aggressive breed"
Does any agency in the uk even record this if so how and who?
IVe only been bitten once as mentioned I didn't tell anybody. So how accurate would any list be.
