Well said chap - my (all too brief) holiday experience there as well. Loved it

Seems there was a massive failure of intelligence on the part of the Sri Lankan authorities. The Sri Lankan PM - “"India gave us the intelligence but there has been a lapse on how we acted on that... intelligence was not conveyed down the line,".

Only Christians celebrate Easter, it’s not difficult,

The attacks on hotels were non-denominational

This set of atrocities is stty enough without the need for an extra layer of conspiratorial nonsense regarding its reporting,
Deliberate avoidance by politicians and press of the words ‘attack on Christians’ and ‘Islamic terrorists’ and ‘christianophobic’

Don’t wanna offend anyone...

ISIS have claimed it now, and it looks like they were pulling the strings.

Their caliphate may be dead but they are not, sadly.
Another example if needed why we shouldn't be allowing any one with any link with involvement with Isis back into this country.

Turns out one of the bombers studied here in the U.K. my guess would be the University of Jihad otherwise known as Westminster..

You didn’t read the second post I put up following this one did you ?

Nor have you read any subsequent news reports where both issues are clearly elaborated upon.

Seems one of them is another highly educated individual from a wealthy background.

Professor Anthony Glees, director of the Centre for Security and Intelligence Studies at Buckingham University, told MailOnline: "MI5 know who this person is. They will be checking out where they studied, who they came into contact with, and crucially, who else was in their network. There are a stream of Islamist terrorists who come from higher education in the UK that are graduates, who are over represented in terrorist ranks."

What the hell is causing UK universities to churn out extremists? You’d think that living on a multi-cultural campus would aid in integration.

The refusal to confront anything head on for fear of being branded an 'ist' or a 'phobe'.

Goes for everything nowadays, not just religious fundamentalists.

We need to stop worrying about hurting people's feelings, get problems sorted for the greater good of the communities and Country, then move forward.

I see Sri Lankan authorities are now stating that the bombings were a direct retaliation for the Christchurch shootings at Mosques. Not seeing the main stream carrying this message though.

For most, it does. For a few, they are sickened by ‘the degenerate West’ (aka girls drinking and having sex)

I spoke to someone tonight who is supporting someone that has lost 8 family members. 8. I can’t imagine the pain and confusion they are feeling. A child of the family is I believe in intensive care but all their family in Sri Lanka is gone.

Bit of deflection going on there IMO. planning for Sri Lanka would have started before NZ.

SL officials had actually arrested several terrorists well ahead of the bombing when explosives were discovered ... and then let them out on bail! eek

Serious questions need answering as to whether some of the SL National security organisation was somehow ‘paid off’ to not share intelligence or not act upon it.

They already knew the names and addresses of who to arrest immediately after the attack. scratchchin

Hmmm ... free sex and alcohol are a major motivator for many foreign students and others to visit the UK.

loads of Saudis visit Bahrain at weekends - for plentiful alcohol and easy paid-for sex with Thai women. They are positively attracted by the sex and alcohol on offer.

It’s only a requirement to be a ‘good Muslim’ when back at home in KSA.

That’s how it works.

Not hypocritical at all

Anjum Choudary was well known for his drinking and partying while studying at Uni but it didn’t stop him becoming an extremist nutjob.

There was also those two chaps who tried to bomb clubs Glasgow airport and clubs in the west end of London I believe they met at uni and one was even an NHS doctor.

Westminster Uni has a long list of jihadi graduates including the infamous Jihadi John and Salford University carried on paying Salman Abedi his student loan despite him dropping out, he then used the money to bomb Manchester Arena.

The authorities had everything handed to them on a plate yet still didn’t act - very strange.

In India's Intel To Sri Lanka On Attacks, Terrorists' Names, Address, Targets

article said:
The three-page advisory, which has been accessed by NDTV, mentioned the group involved as the National Thowheeth Jama'ath. It had the whereabouts of those involved -- the addresses of their hideouts, phone numbers and background.

The document, dated April 11, had even mentioned the targets - churches and the Indian High Commission.

The wealth of information made action on it imperative, but none was taken, the Sri Lankan authorities have said.

Foreign Office has advised against all but essential travel to the whole of Sri Lanka now

https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/sri-lanka

So if you have a holiday booked there in the near future, better get it cancelled, because I don't think your travel insurance will cover you any more now that that advice is in place. I imagine a load of flight schedules will be getting cancelled shortly.

Bad news for Sri Lanka tourism.
