Same here. Local Morrisons 112.9p
So what happened to the massive price hike? Or is this a lull before the storm?

It's been around 113.9p here for an age anyway, I guess that's a benefit of living up north.

Don't even get me onto the NHS. I believed the stories about poor dirty hospitals, long waiting lists and poor facilities. In the last 12 months, me, my parents, in laws, and several friends have needed to use a wide range of services from casualty to cancer treatment. Did I find the headline grabbing dirty short staffed hospitals - No. OK, I appreciate that with the cutbacks talked about, this is not likely to last but you can hardly blame the NHS for that.
The reason you don't see short staffing is because nurses etc. work overtime to cover the shortage of staff, patients get moved to reflect staffing levels. I know this is happening the unit my wife works on is about 5 staff short, and even if they did employ 5 new staff today they would need about 12months rotation between hospitals in the trust, probation etc before they actually eased the shortage.

Fuel has been steadily going up nearly every other week in the last month or so and d is at 125ppl round here now.
I wonder if they are doing it prior to the VAT increase on the 1st Jan and the retailers 'absorbing the increase'
Next month they will be telling us inflation has gone up again.
