Morning all.
I'm abroad currently so slightly different timezone...

Remember when trump claimed that Manhattan DA Bragg had "already dropped the case" against him. - He's already fundraising off his forthcoming surrender

Spokesperson for the Manhattan DA's office:

"This evening we contacted Mr. Trump's attorney to coordinate his surrender to the Manhattan DA's Office for arraignment on a Supreme Court indictment, which remains under seal."

Rep. Nancy Pelosi: "The Grand Jury has acted upon the facts and the law. No one is above the law, and everyone has the right to a trial to prove innocence. Hopefully, the former President will peacefully respect the system, which grants him that right."

Kevin McCarthy has committed weaponisation of the government..
Alvin Bragg has irreparably damaged our country in an attempt to interfere in our Presidential election.
As he routinely frees violent criminals to terrorize the public, he weaponized our sacred system of justice against President Donald Trump.
The American people will not tolerate this injustice, and the House of Representatives will hold Alvin Bragg and his unprecedented abuse of power to account.

Michael Cohen: "No one is above the law; not even a former President. Today's indictment is not the end of this chapter; but rather, just the beginning. Now that the charges have been filed, it is better for the case to let the indictment speak for itself."

Finally, something happening at last. Fingerprints and mugshot soon. Hopefully just the beginning. When "The Loser Donald Trump" sees some form of punishment for his actions for the first time in his life.
Will this now open the floodgates for all the other indictments supposedly on the way? One can only hope biggrin

Wheres Comer and Jim Jordon when you need to look at weaponisation claims?

trump has been calling up key allies on Capitol Hill tonight to shore up support in the wake of his indictment, including members of House GOP leadership and lawmakers who serve on committees that are trying to investigate the Manhattan DA, per sources.

Flight risk? More time to stir up his violent mob, give them time to get to NY?

The D.A.'s office requested that Trump surrender on Friday, but trump’s lawyers replied that the timeline was too tight, saying the U.S. Secret Service needed more time to prepare

What a burn from Maggie Habberman

"A large group of former trump Organization employees is sending texts quietly cheering the latest developments, a reminder of how many people have felt burned in various ways by trump over the years."

THAT mug shot is surely going to become the most iconic and reproduced image in living memory.

I think I’ll just have mine on a coffee cup but I can think of many other potential applications.

Incidentally- too late. The domain name trumpmugshot.com is already taken….

Lyndsey Graham - still worried over what trump has on him claiming its all a pile of crap. The indictment or evidence/charges hasn't been made public yet so it's amazing how many of the GOP are claiming it's all false.

Could this just be the thin edge of the wedge?

A way to test Trumps defences and see how he and his magamob will react and try to burn out the potential for violence before more serious charges (federal) are load?
