Dowden shown the Bannon clip with Truss, and failing to call it out on the LK show.

Apparently, it is difficult to hear what is said when the cameras are on you, so Liz probably didn't twig what was said.

She decided to have a televised conversation with Bannon. Anyone with half a brain would be absolutely on top of his every word, knowing who he is and what he represents. Not Liz.

Imagine being in the head of someone who votes for her.

Just imagine.

It must be the most corrupted and scared brain it’s possible to be. A brain eaten away by the Daily Mail and a fear of literally everything.

Horrific.
No one votes for her, they just faithfully vote blue. My mother in law votes Tory at every election, because that’s who her, long passed away father voted for.

Rayner scum comment, Phillips' stabbing comment, both received bile filled criticism. Ex PM Truss says she wants to use a 'bigger bazooka' on her political adversaries. In America. A country known for its dreadful gun crime. Tumbleweed.....

To be fair to Truss (and I really don't want to be) I don't think anyone would take the "bazooka" comment too seriously.

I sort of get it that in the US there's more of a gun culture so there's that angle but of all the nutty stuff she's said that one's right down there for me.

Yet people took Phillips' comment about not stabbing Corbyn in the back, stabbing him in the front seriously when she was simply making a point that she woukd not be two faced and openly challenged him....? It's the double standards I was commenting on more than the language itself man.

We don’t want a new Tory leader. All we want from the Tory Party now is for it to die off and get out of the way, so some new option can be offered to those who once called themselves Conservatives.

That last bit is a call to reform that the Telegraph will be their lapdog now.

Knee jerked over Boris? He had more chances than a game of monopoly! Whilst it is impossible to predict could, woulda shoulda situations I will stick my knock out and suggest that had Sunak won the leadership contest and we'd not have had to suffer Truss, whose reaction was itself knee jerk, we might, might be in a better position. I'm no fan of Mordaunt who I see as an entertaining one trick pony, but had she or maybe Stewart, who i really rate, won, I reckon the Tories would be quite healthy and the nation much more content right now. Truss was a Frankenstein's monster type creation of the right of the party who they created and installed to use like a puppet, but like old Victor, they didn't read the room very well on that one....

Oh come on nothing says good judgement like a former Prime Minister appearing next to a far-right convicted criminal and saying absolutely nothing whilst they praise another far-right convicted criminal.

Have to agree with Julian. BJ the greatest PM since Churchill. A man who lead the Tories to a massive victory against a charismatic Labour leader. Who delivered the best brexit deal ever before guiding us through CV19 with decisiveness. A man of the highest moral and personal standards who would have lead the party to further massive victories if he had not been caught eating cake on his birthday.

The members then choose the great orator Liz. Who's radical economic plans would have revived the counties economy in days. Again she was well ahead in the polls and would have lead the party for decades if lefty fund managers had not conspired against her.

Now we have the new chap who has wasted all the great deeds of his 2 predecessors and the substantial poll lead they had built up.

While I mostly agree with the last sentence I don't agree with the headline. Truss was a nothing leader and her only impact on proceedings was to worsen the polling position. Removing her did not get them to this stage.

In order to trace back how a party goes from mid 40s of the vote to polling below 20% you have to look at the decisions taken by Bojo the clown. He had an opportunity to cement in the coalition that elected him but instead seemed bent on making sure they never voted Tory again.
