Those were the rules set. It's not the Guardian making up a situation to help advertising numbers.
What do you mean that the staff in the hospital were having parties?
Some of the NHS were posting their little cake/pizza events to social media with absolutely no shame. I have no criticism of them doing this personally as a little break amongst the madness is required for all. What do you mean that the staff in the hospital were having parties?
Arguably a more dangerous place to do this than No10 though as they would have been in direct contact with vulnerable patients.
For information, eating at work was both a necessity and allowed. I am not sure you will find a lot of evidence of "parties" (not your wording, wording from the previous message) within the NHS - management were serious about following the rules like within most businesses (No. 10 excluded it seems).

If you are finding that difficult to understand perhaps you should join the civil service. My wife is an NHS consultant, she didn't mention parties to me. Perhaps you know better?

Sue Gray report has arrived at No.10, and I think Times Radio says it is about 37 pages long..
Unfortunately, she's got to start all over again as they forgot to tell her about one.https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/damning-new...

Why was there was an avalanche of tik-tokking NHS staff at the time then? most have been taken down quietly in the last 2 years but a simple search on Twitter will still return loads of examples - you could feast on them all afternoon if you so wish. For information, eating at work was both a necessity and allowed. Again, I distinctly remember videos of NHS staff doing sort of blitz spirit style skits for camera presumably in order to improve morale and also because I imagine the job was a bit depressing.None of them seemed to constitute what I would describe as a party though.

Johnson breaks his own rules and lies repeatedly about it.
Johnson apologists attack the people trying to save lives.
Sounds about right.
They are happy being lied to by a man with no conscience at all who treats them with contempt.Johnson apologists attack the people trying to save lives.
Sounds about right.
Literally can't understand why anyone would choose to debase themselves like that.

I wonder what else she did not mention to you that she gets up to.I only have 2 immediate family members who are junior doctors who worked on the front line through out the pandemic in 2 different hospitals, both say there were frequent cake gatherings and more. To me that seams totally appropriate as they were a way of coping with an unbelievably stressful and challenging situation. The same applies to No 10 for me.
But that wont fill media column inches or clickbait.

Oh it's the dedication and commitment to the defence of it all that amazes me.

Shameless mean-spiritedness? Literally can't understand why anyone would choose to debase themselves like that.
According to the BBC's political editor, when Johnson makes his statement to the HoC at 12.30 today he is expected to say: “I commissioned this report to set the record straight and allow us all to move on. I accept full responsibility for my failings. I am humbled by the whole experience. We have learned our lesson.” In other words, as before, a wilful refusal to take on board what 'acceptance of full responsibility' actually means.
If I was the leader of the opposition right now I'd be trying to organise a mass no-show on that side of the House so that Johnson can literally talk to nobody.

You also appear to be forgetting that they don't hold any moral highground on this topic.
I don't know whether I'd rather he resigned at noon to stop the incessant whining on here, or did as noted above to witness heads exploding.
I doubt the former would have the desired outcome, so the latter it is.
