Greta - hope you're aware, the N Atlantic at this time of year? Treacherous! You might truly find out the meaning of 'climate'!
Commenting on the cost of someone else's property? If it was a celeb with a private plan, PH would be banging on about the poison of jealousy. I wondered to myself how the fk have they managed to get the dosh to buy a f.huge Cat?

Plenty of people go cruising on relatively small budgets. You want to spend your time sailing the world on a cat?

16K to you.
Are you aware of the credentials of the crew with Greta?

I’d like to see their passage plan.

The Tracy Edwards documentary the other night was one of the best things I've ever seen on TV. I'm glad Greta is on a boat with some women though. There are some PHers who wouldn't have slept a wink if she'd been on a boat with men only. They were so concerned about her.
I watched it. Amazingly driven girl and crew. We are having a talk by one of the team Ineos AC guys in a few weeks. We see them training in the bay. Awesome machines.
It’s entertaining that so many guys want to waste their lives trying to criticise a 16 year old.
TX.
big shock.
Who predicted this.

Passenger vehicle registration fees will be based largely on the vehicle’s fuel efficiency rating," the Oregon Department of Transportation said in a statement Tuesday. "Drivers of more efficient vehicles will pay more to register and renew their tags so they contribute more for use of the roads. That’s because these drivers are contributing much less (or nothing) in fuels tax while driving just as much."

Many here say she is too young to understand so on that basis she should attract no criticism.
However if you accept she is mature enough to know her own mind and come to her own conclusions then yes of course she can be tested.
Except posters are not testing Greta are they? They are having a moan on here.

If she doesn’t understand then she can’t be criticised, but she shouldn’t be taken seriously either... It seems, culturally, we are taking her seriously, so she should be engaged with in the same way as Monbiot et al are for their non-scientific doommongering.
Isn't her message believe the scientists and vote? Hardly seems a very radical position to take on PH (ohh, hang on, this time science doesn't agree with the opinions of middle age men. bugger).andy_s said:

It’s a catastrophisation of the science. Read IPCC vs XR. but then we end up here: https://www.scotsman.com/news/opinion/columnists/w...
That's not exactly a ringing endorsement of "No problem here, carry on as you were".

Personally, I don't understand why so many middle aged men (and they almost all are) get so angry when a young person tries to do the right thing, such as protecting the environment in which we all live?
I get disappointed when a young girl with difficulties gets manipulated by groups with an agenda- how do you feel about that?Helicopter123 said:

I think they're less angry at her than the obvious way that some influential and financially powerful people have weaponised and exploited a child for their own political gain...Helicopter123 said:

I'm not sure the calling of a child "retard" and all the slightly creepy photos are going after the shadowy figures manipulating this poor young girl who you all seem so concerned about.
Exactly. I get the impression that most people who are "concerned" about her just want her to shut up.Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
