Biden campaign pushing the Rubio interview where he refuses to answer if he'll accept the results of the election, as he tries to be trumps VP. Not only that he again pushed debunked election lies

Q: Will you accept the election results no matter what happens?
VP contender Marco Rubio: No

Q: Will you accept the election results no matter who wins?
Rubio: The Democrats...

Q: Every Democrat that lost conceded their election. Will you accept the election results no matter who wins?
Rubio: *refuses to answer*

Q: You voted to certify the 2020 election. Do you think Trump's comments about election interference undermine Americans’ confidence in democracy?

"Every Democrat who lost conceded their election" is not true given Stacey Abrams spent the two years before the 2020 election telling everyone she was the rightful winner in Georgia in 2018 and initially refused to commit to accepting the results in 2022 (although she later committed to do so and did when she lost again).

Strange because here she is conceding in 2018
https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/watch-live-s...

But GOP do like to claim at she did what they have done, whilst ignoring that she was highlighting the GOP changed the voting rules to suit them, and disadvantage Dem voters. Changes in requirements for absence voting, removing drop boxes in Dem voting areas, closing voting stations in Dem areas meaning people had to travel and queue for long times. All meant to discourage Dem voters.

And then conceeding again when she tried again in 2022

Those links are all for 2022, where she did concede (after initially refusing to commit to doing so if she lost before relenting in the final debate).

I was talking about 2018.

She accepted defeat immediately in 2022.

As as stated in 2018, she felt cheated because of GOP voting restrictions so was trying to raise that - not because she lost - unlike the GOP/trump, but yes she said:
ABRAMS: Let's be clear. This is not a speech of concession because concession means to acknowledge an action is right, true or proper. As a woman of conscience and faith, I cannot concede that. But my assessment is the law currently allows no further viable remedy.

Because of that she worked hard to get voters out in 2020 in Georgia, which is why Biden narrowly won.

Sounds very much like she did not concede to me, which was the original claim from the journalist.

Hillary Clinton also claimed many times the 2016 election had been stolen from her, and that President Trump was an illegitimate President.

I think that was related to russian interference (which was proven) rather than the physical counting of ballots.

Have any of the GOP managed to explain why they think Biden's win was illegitimate?

Whereas it's a short list filled with republicans willing to say that any election is legitimate, even the ones they won. Because brain worms.

I can't remember any Dems sending an armed mob to storm a building either, or organise fake electors wink

Anyhow - why the sudden distraction?

Is it because trumps latest fraud/election interference trial is coming to an end and he won't testify - like he claimed he would?

Still got blanche to finish cross examination of Cohen, then prosecution can address points raised. Defence currently only have one witness, a claimed election campaign finance expert. Wonder if thats similar to the experts called in trumps last fraud trial that were disastrous?

trump had a very late night rant over the claims he froze during his NRA speech, made the claim that "donald trump doesn’t freeze!"

Such a long rant it took two posts
https://x.com/TrumpDailyPosts/status/1792432187691...

including the claim about the podium "I actually stopped it from falling due to good reflexes and strength, "

trumps lawyers think it's going badly for trump so are trying to keep him out of prison, by considering misdemeanor charges against trump instead of the 34 felonies he is now facing, which could spare him from a harsher sentence, according to an article on WSJ.

Hedge with a misdemeanor or go for broke of a dismisal

"With each of the 34 felony counts carrying a sentence of up to four years, trump theoretically could get what amounts to a life sentence," "Still, it would be less risky to ask the jury to consider misdemeanor charges, which because of New York merger rules would at most sentence the former president to two years in jail."

Does he think he's the first person to sit in a courtroom accused of a crime?

I guess the answer to that is that in his mind he is, because he's the only person he cares about.

Shouldnt they be back in Court by now?

Did I also read earlier/up thread that the Judge had told the parties to prepare for summing up and closing arguments to start tomorrow, Tuesday?

Wow - that's some defense they have put up!! Surely he just takes the stand and testifies to the truthful statements he has been saying every day after Court?

No, summing up happening next week because the Judge has other work on
Judge Merchan announces that given his understanding of what will happen this week, summations in the Manhattan DA’s criminal trial against trump will be next Tuesday, after which the jury will deliberate.

Trial is back on.
trump sychophants todays are
AG Alan Wilson
Rep. Eric Burlison
Rep. Andrew Clyde
Rep. Mary Miller
Rep. Keith Self
John Coale
Alan Dershowitz
Will Scharf
Steve Witkoff
Bernie Kerik
Kash Patel
Vernon Jones
Jerry Kassar
Chuck Zito

Merchan has already told trump lawyer Bove to calm down and relax
Defense wanted to elicit testimony from Brad Smith defining three terms: influencing an election for federal office, irrespective rule, and the press exemption, basically interpreting the law. Been denied?
