Seems like United received the big bunny in good health, then someone put it into an overnight freezer.

Whether he survives or not has got to be touch and go but I suspect the leaked internal E-mail will still do for him.

Irrespective of his own personal position, this is going to have big ramifications for UA; numerous major corporates are cancelling their travel contracts
CEO still in place. UAL share price has just hit record highs. Perhaps there's something in this 'bedroom investment', after all.

I hope all you lot constantly quoting la liga and trying to belittle him, are going to be as vociferous if united don't go bust and the CEO doesn't get fired and nothing much happens after all.
Unlikely.

He was ridiculed by loads of posters and he turned out to be completely right. United shares are up and the CEO is still there. They haven't even been cancelling flights or suffering from lower load factors. All that happened was they paid off the doctor and everyone moved on.

Some people are getting off very liightly. hehe

Although he does have a new bonus structure. Although i would not be surprised if that's left him better off...

Indeed. Comparisons to things like Deepwater Horizon, that investors aren't as concerned for fundamentals, CEO out by the end of the week etc.

There's nothing wrong with people giving an opinion (that's all I did), but being patronised with some rubbish about bedroom investment / being like an intern means the person who writes it best know what they are talking about and be right with their predictions.

To be fair, it's only a month after so perhaps some load issues may not be felt until further along, but it's a good lesson in not getting too suckered into the 'heat of the moment' and keeping perspective and having a sense of proportionally. Also a demonstration as to how overconfident people are with predictions in an uncertain environment. It is ok to just not know.

Isn't there an old saying "there's no such thing as bad publicity"?

Indeed there is - and it's not true.

Ask Gerald Ratner.

Quite and it has also scuppered any chance of exhibited a stuffed version of the world's largest rabbit at a traveling show that could have earned a significant amount for the owner.

People would have paid good money to see the worlds largest rabbit.

That would certainly generate a buzz of excitement.

So no mention of the 100s of millions of dollars added to UA's share price from the open today, then?

The 3.44% gain from the day's low? Wasn't it meant to be down 5%?

The fact it's finished pretty much at the high of the day and rallied all day.

That since the open on Monday and over these last two days of turning itself into, according to PH, a toxic equity, the share price has INCREASED by 0.23%

Perhaps a bit of a lesson those who want to read into short term price movements and make overly-simplistic assessments.

Quoted.
since this incident UA shares have risen consistently and have increased 69% in value

la liga was right

How much of the recent rise was due to stock buy backs that UA have done since the tax cuts came in which gave them & others a nice windfall.

La Liga was right though.
