It's not a Legal Precedent though. It is one of the many sanctions that can be applied under the legislation, depending on circumstances and severity. It is not binding on future Courts, as many subsequent cases have illustrated.

And the conviction of Ethel Rosenberg was hardly safe

It took five attempts at electrocution to kill her and by the end her hair was on fire.

Given that Trump is 90% flammable material, even if sentenced to death, I think they'd swerve electrocution.

It's why it's so funny. trump claimed he had tapes of people, refused to back up his lies, then everyone has tapes of trump committing crimes.

Cohen and the hush money payments, trumps 'perfect call' to Ukraine trying to blackmail them if they didn't manufacture dirt against Biden (who wasn't even running then), then the 'perfect call' to Georgia 'just fine me enough votes to win', plus all the other team trump members recorded threatening or trying to persuade state election officials to gift trump a win, byt throwing out thousands of valid votes... etc etc.
