We were supposed to have seen a BBMF Spitfire in Twyford today.

For once I knew about it in advance. Sodding weather.

Loved it, chilled out and thought how fab we are when it pisses down!

Britannia Launch parking next to the barge was very tidy.

London Phil - hats off to them.

Some great shots of the royals smiling and laughing and bobbing along to the hornpipe biggrin

Seeing the ribs accompanying the barge it struck me there has been bugger all mention of terrorist threats and security presence? Media told to stfu for once and just get on enjoying the party?

You can't account for the weather and bad TV commentators.

FWIW I thought once Eamonn Holmes went back to the pies and let someone else do the commentary that Sky seemed to do quite a good job of it, though that may be just because I don't like Claire Balding and the blonde news presenter whose name I forget.

Sat and watched it all afternoon and thought it was brilliant.

Definitely hats off the the choir singing with the Linton Phil. They looked extremely cold and wet for the last hour but still carried on.

Such a shame when people have this old fashioned view of nations being seperate, when the world should all be one.
Utter tosh!
Different nations are just that... Different! No other race will ever be British, no other country will ever be England!

wow we're ready for the olmypics

had to stand utterly cramped in train there and back - train didnt stop at all stations due to over crowding
queues to get into waterloo east where they had cunningly started renovating it before the jubilee and olympics
they shut the public toilets in battersea park where we were
food had queues miles long
after queing for the only beer available - the traditional british brew of san miguel it was £4 a can
mo mobile reception as networks too busy

great

You watched all that at the age of 75? My god! There can be only one!
Nah - there are many of us. I watched it, and stayed awake, from 13.30 right through to the finish.

I can't decide if I'm enjoying the Jubilee celebrations more because of the Jubilee itself, or the fact it annoys all the envious socialists and ignorant miserable anti-monarchy retards, who somehow think that the EU offers any more democracy than the Queen.

Watching the TV pictures the flotilla is huge, the crowds are huge. Looks an amazing sight. I for one am glad the UK celebrates its unique heritage in such a spectacular fashion.
Well done to all involved.

Just think of it as a win win situation with the massive Brucie Bonus of Phil the Greek being there to rile all the PC monkeys.
Absolutely - he is a diamond and can (and should!) get away with murder

Queen, 86 years old.
Duke of Edinburgh, 90 years old.
They have both been stood for over 3 hours waving to the thousands of people who came out in classic British weather to celebrate Diamond Jubilee. The boat they were on had thrones for them both, but no...
They are still standing! Respect!
Fully agree

Well, I for one thought the whole regatta was billiantly done. The co-ordination was superb and the spectical fantastic. This is what we are really good at and it showed the world how to do it, even if the weather was rubbish.
Happy Diamond Jubilee Your Majesty.
And from me Ma'am

Ask yourself this, would the queen and prince philip have travelled up on a groaning and inadequate transport system using their redundancy savings to watch it in the pissing rain all day catching a cold in the process whilst facing a pretty awful journey home?

Would she have watched the moronic coverage on the BBC with presenters so obscure and aged it looked like 'Get me out of here I'm a 'celebrity'.... ?

Princess Di dies part two and let them eat cake

If she did that she wouldn't be the Queen would she ?

Whatever point you are trying to get across, to that end, fails miserably.

Try again - this time take your time to compose it properly.
