Brexit,Trump, then JRM...what a great decade that would be.
The meltdown would be fantastic.

It would be brilliant, especially if there was a GE with a JRM Conservative Party vs a Corbyn Labour Party.

While undoubtedly very intelligent, JRM is emotionally stunted man child with a weird crush on his own nanny. Not surprised by his apparent popularity on NP&E at all.
You're on NP&E.

Foot = shot.
He's not exactly popular though. Foot definitely unshot I'd say smile

Only someone with a very warped and rather sick mind would think that and then go on to write it on a forum predominantly for car enthusiasts.

It comes as no surprise it came from you.

As for the rest of Mog's groupies, I understand the .desire to 'protect' your idol. I do.

It seems Farage is not en vogue anymore, so desire for new deity was rather predictable.

It may be relevant as JRM is against gay marriage, which, as a married gay man, Matthew Paris might find hard to swallow.

The biggest difference between Paris and JRM is in the brexit vote. Paris would find it difficult to countenance a pro brexit leadership candidate.

He's a TROLL!
In fact, he could even be KING TROLL! hehe

Long may he continue to troll so he can continue to be utterly ridiculed.

Lynnee, perhaps it's time to change your username?

Again! hehe

edit
I might just start supporting JR-M to wind you up more.
Actually, just a thought.
You said on here you were a true blue, and had voted such in all your General Election voting.
How many General Elections would that be Lynnee, 2 or 3?

Or fewer! Come on, tell us. 'Young' man. hehe

Discussing whether JRM would make a good leader/PM is a waste of time as he'll still be leading a bunch of soppy liberals.
Until there's a genuinely conservative party i'll no longer be democratically abstaining; I'll vote Labour.

The Conservative party will only stay in power by being "sloppy liberals".

Bit like the Labour party only having appeal by selecting Blairites?

Anyway, Arron Banks seems to be gearing up to attempt to get some of the sloppy liberals deselected...

Article said:
Mr Hammond has been at the forefront of calls for a lengthy transition phase after the UK formally leaves the EU at the end of March 2019, while Ms Rudd has also been touted as a leading advocate of a so-called "soft Brexit".

“Besides making way for a Cabinet aligned and committed to British independence, their removal will open up the prospect of true blue Brexit MPs representing local constituents once again,” a statement from Leave.EU read.

“A letter will soon be dispatched to every single voter in both constituencies, making the case for this fifth column in the Tory Cabinet to be removed by the only means available to grassroots Conservatives.”

In the letter to be sent to Mr Hammond’s Runnymede and Weybridge constituents, Mr Banks called on Tory voters to join the local party and table a vote of no confidence at an extraordinary general meeting.

“Whether you voted Remain or Leave, Philip Hammond’s actions in dividing the Cabinet are damaging the prospects of a successful Brexit, encouraging the EU to play games with the whole process,” Mr Banks added.

Said it before, and i'll say it again - it doesn't matter who leads them. They're still going to be a bunch of soppy liberals, unfortunately.

I’m delighted to report that JRM has just killed any chance of his ever becoming PM in an interview in which he declared his opposition to gay marriage and abortion in any circumstances.

He justifies these positions on the basis that they are the teachings of the Catholic Church. Very few Catholic intellectuals support these teachings. I was brought up Catholic and these dogmatic positions became increasingly unacceptable to me as I grew up. He is presumably also opposed to contraception.

The man is a reactionary intellectual dwarf. His inability to apply his intellect to the teachings of the Catholic Church is instructive in relation to his political attitudes.

Couldn't disagree more with your first sentence.

I don't agree with his position on abortion in any circumstances, but at least he has an opinion, expresses it and doesn't bother tailoring it to suit whichever way the wind is blowing. Total contrast to the useless spin-doctored PM we are currently saddled with. I don't think his latest comments have done his future PM chances any harm at all.
