So DRS to go ahead unless/until Westminster block it. GRR to be "fought in court " except the lawyers will say "no chance " so there'll be an attempt to paint that as oppression by English law.

Whatever caused the wicked witch to step down it wasn't GRR and Useless can't FIX it.
I'm not so sure this time.

The easier thing to do for Westminster is to refuse the single market act exemption.

At that point it's the SNP that have to do something.

For those who don't want independence under the SNP clownshoes, this is a great result.

The votes cast tomorrow could be interesting to see how much support he has among the MSPs.
Doubt it. Expect the SNP and Greens to line up behind him. MSPs and MPs were much more in favour of him compared to the membership or SNP voters.

Will be interesting to see what his relationship with the Westminster group will be like.
Sturgeon and Murrell enforced discipline.

Look at the last 6 weeks.

Not an earthly chance it's going to be business as usual.

Humza couldn't successfully maintain appropriate insurance to ride a three wheel scooter if he tried....

And that's before the digging begins.

I did laugh that 20000 of their own members couldn't be arsed to vote!
Or perhaps their votes just weren't counted... scratchchin
Or perhaps they don't exist...

The fix was in from the start, Yousless was nailed on to win it and protect the House of Murrell from proper scrutiny. Watch Poileas Alba wrap up Operation Branchform suspiciously quickly with no charges brought.

No doubt the primary qualification for the incoming Chief Constable will be carpet sweeping skills.

Whilst I think he will fail, I’m utterly sick of the bile and division which characterised Sturgeon’s approach, and unfortunately Yousaf is very much cut from the same cloth.

Wings sums it up in one paragraph.

"Humza Yousaf has been a failure in every job he’s had in government, and now he’s basically in charge of every department at once when he’s proven himself unable to handle any one of them at a time."

It is very salty over at wings.

They are right on one thing: it’s a terrible result for the governance of Scotland.
A few of the comments have rather exposed a nasty vein of anti Asian xenophobia.
And there seems to be a significant chunk suggesting it’s been rigged, which given all the nonsense around membership numbers is hardly surprising.
Lots of ‘SNP is over, I’m off to Alba’.
If that momentum keeps up then the next Holyrood elections will be interesting to watch.

Wings is properly salty.

Can’t wait to see the first FM questions with him trying to answer and defend his own positions without nippy being there to answer for him.

I find it amazing that the PM is a Hindu, the 1st Minister of Scotland is a Muslim and the King is a Christian. Now that’s diversity and inclusion biggrin:

Humza Yousaf will make a truly excellent leader of the SNP
A man of strong determination to improve the lot of working class people.
A man of strong principles
He is probably one of the greatest politicians of his time.
I say jolly well done Humza

Murrel will still be lurking in the background for sure. Their preferred candidate 'won'.

Yousef is an angry man though. Easily triggered and comes across as aggressive and overbearing when even slightly pushed. He'll need to get some media training pronto-tonto or he will very quickly turn-off the voters who pick personality rather than policy (ie. the ones that thought Sturgeon was brilliant because she was slicker on TV compared to Boris).

And he will aspire to be as great as his predecessor who has given him a high target to meet.
