Oh come on board V8. We are a progressive party these days. Modernisation is key. No more of the old school politics is our vision for all Scots.

Excuse me a sec............................................................................................ Sorry about that. Humza just called. He wants me to edit some speeches for him. When I told him I'd never done this before, he said, no problem Viper, I've never done this job before and none of the cabinet have either.
I have "V8" in my username..... progressive and environmental is not for me...

Presumably yesterday’s focus on who got what in cabinet took the focus off this…?

I'll be interested to see how they explain this away. Fraud in black and white.

Personally I don't understand it. How can you get more resources if you fiddle the figures to make it look like targets are being met.

Useless on Scotland just now saying the party is 100% unit.

"Comical Humsa?"

So you have to ask yourself who would benefit from response figures looking better than they really are, and there's only three logical answers: heads of policing, heads of state and owners of a private company contracted to provide public services; was Bilston Glen a private contract?

Bilston Glen is a police control room. Usually a mix of police and civilian staff but all direct police employees.

This is police management all the way. I'm just surprised at how blatent.

The only private contract is the company that supplies the software.

The way it is done by the non existent callsign is someone that knows how the system works.

TBF most people who get to be head of a government haven't done the job before they got there.

The Govt ['big local council'] is full of important people with earnest titles with nothing to do.
Believing this is what it purports to be is believing that the nice man will be back tomorrow to finish your drive.

Is the impending release of this why the police chief walked last week?

Good bit of Newspeak from Police Scotland here.

"A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "The DUMY call sign was a practice which had been in use by one legacy service since 1997 to assist controllers to allocate resource during periods of high demand."

https://www.scottishdailyexpress.co.uk/news/politi...

As of course the whole thing was to get calls out the action queue when there wasn't any available resources to allocate. So it assisted controllers to not allocate resources.

No direct ferries to South Uist for 5 weeks.

Humsa Useless loves cities. So much that he lives in one while being the MP for a constituency in another.

This is the thing that will sink him though, Nicola at least knew when to press on with the Tory bashing and when not too, but if he just does it ALL THE TIME, people will start asking "Yeah, but you do have SOME powers, you can make SOME things better,,why dont you try that...for once...

Doubt it tbh.

I have some fanatical SNP supporters on Facebook and they take the exact same path.

Literally everything wrong in the world is the fault of the red tories or blue tories.

The people that see through their pish already see through Humza, but they always have. Those who don’t, never will.

I'd love it to be the Presiding Officer. That would be hilarious.

That story was covered on Radio 4 last night and they interviewed an SNP politician who actually said it was "proof of the pressure the call handling unit was under" (or words to that effect)

To which the interviewer didn't offer any challenge ....
