Back to the Russians, Microsoft say they've already stepped in to block 3 attempts to hack midterm candidates, as the senate still hasn't passed any of the spending to block this.

“Putin would like to kill me, like he killed my lawyer. To hand me over to Putin is to hand me to my death... it’s a death sentence” says American Bill Browder. Trump is also considering handing over ten other current and former US Gov’t officials.

This is insane.

Oh dear, all those trumpettes who said Mannaforts prosecution was nothing to do with trump.

Mueller has produced hundreds of email chains, from 2016-2017 alone, in the evidence list.

Wow! Manaforts lavish lifestyle. Who says crime doesn't pay

Presumably the vote precludes that now

Aren't a fair amount of those trips because of the UN HQ being in NY though?

A Neil on TW suspects that Trump agreed with Putin that Syria is Russias but it needs to get Iran out of the south, and work with Israel and Saudi to do that.
Interesting thought.

After a quick look seems three weren't, plus he's met Obama 5 times and BUsh several times.

I’ve been speaking with a group of average blue collars from NY recently - they just can’t believe what’s happening either and find it all incredible with the day by day disasters/lies and bullst. They put it all down to him being a businessman (and a poor one at that).
I had wondered if we were being fed fake news but it seems not.

It's not going at all well for Cohen. The house of cards is falling.
The special master in Michael Cohen's case has rejected more than a 1/3 of his legal team's assertions of attorney-client privilege.

According to docs, 1,452 out of the 4,085 items designated privileged by Cohen's team will be handed over to prosecutors.

As Clinton said in that clip, Putin was an experienced Intelligence Officer in the old KGB and knows exactly how to manipulate so Trump was way out of his depth at Helsinki and won’t have any respect from Putin beyond what is needed to suit Putins agenda.
The meeting would have been complete comedy no wonder Trump didn’t want witnesses.

Just in case anyone wants to read Steele's analysis again

On a related note, didn't quite a few people suspected of assisting Steele in preparing the dossier come to sticky ends?
9 definitely did, possibly up to 13, then there's a couple of journalists...
When the russians are reporting someone died of a heart attack but was found with severe head injuries...

Anybody remember the Steele Dossier.....?

It seemed a bit far-fetched at the time but, looking at Trump's behaviour, it looks more and more true with every passing day.
I bring it up quite frequently, about the only thing left that hasn't been proven is the urine Kompromat, but it looks pretty obvious that Putin has something on trump, more likely where all his money came from.

Others are saying the same
https://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/...

Even the intelligence agencies now say they will limit what they provide to team trump
So Steele's dossier - said about the selection of Tillerson:

“The official said that he was merely relaying talk circulating in the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but what he’d heard was astonishing: people were saying that the Kremlin had intervened to block Trump’s initial choice for Secretary of State, Mitt Romney… The memo said that the Kremlin, through unspecified channels, had asked Trump to appoint someone who would be prepared to lift Ukraine-related sanctions, and who would coöperate on security issues of interest to Russia, such as the conflict in Syria. If what the source heard was true, then a foreign power was exercising pivotal influence over U.S. foreign policy—and an incoming President.”

Rachel Maddow pointed this out last night that in Butina’s indictment, she was communicating with Torshin on this subject:
https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow/watch/butina-c...

The FBI claims that they have evidence, which points to the fact that just hours after the 2016 election was called for Trump, Butina and Torshin discussed, via Twitter direct message, who “might be nominated for Secretary of State.” Then on November 11, just 3 days after Trump won the election, Butina sent a ‘Russian official,’ presumably Torshin, another direct message via Twitter “in which she predicted who might be named Secretary of State,” and “asked the Russian official to find out how ‘our people’ felt about that potential nomination.”

Tie that to the Wall Street Journal article on how the russians didnt want Mitt Romney:

“Several of the most popular accounts linked to a pro-Kremlin propaganda agency… slammed the former Massachusetts governor in late November and Early December 2016, encouraging their tens of thousands of followers to take action,”

https://www.wsj.com/articles/russian-trolls-tried-...

Steele right again and just shows the influence the russians had not just over the election, but in selecting key cabinet positions of team trump as well.

But hey - No collusion, there was no collusion says the liar in chief...

This Butina indictment is really huge, bigly so
So in this one we discussed how the russians were pushing for Tillerson.
We know Flynn was used for his russian connections, Manafort for his Ukraine/Russian connections, Papadopolous and his suddenly contacted by Mifsud, whos now disappeared.

Another thing thats coming out from the Butina indictment is Erikson's endorsement and lobbying for McFarland to be named Flynn's deputy. Rachel Maddow has carried on looking at just how many of trumps team had russian connections, or were employed because they were sympathetic.

Bud McFarlane was also pushing for McFarland, McFarlane was at the Mayflower hotel, this is becoming another key point in the election campaign/collusion along with the trump tower meeting. That private meeting before hand with ambassadors from Russia, Italy, Singapore, UAE, Saudi, all involved in the Rosneft deal, Russias biggest ever oil deal stalled by the sanctions.

So there was lots of lobbying by russian agents or influenced agents and McFarland got the job, but was then let her go after Flynn was sacked. But they tried to reward her as ambassador to Singapore.. another link.

So the Mayflower hotel is where the speeches were changed to indicate to Russia they were cooperating, where sanctions deals were done before hand. It's also increasing looking like a significant number of trumps team were in place because the russians wanted them there.

It's no longer no collusion but rather just who in team trump wasn't colluding as it seems just about everyone was.

If one of Corbyn’s core policies was bashing immigrants / muslims then he would be just as popular, all the loonier bits would be ignored. That’s exactly the situation with Trump. There was a former Tea Party Republican on CNN who said that whilst he despised Trump for cosying up to Putin he agreed completely with his policies on immigrants and muslims, and he would still vote for him.

In short, these people don’t care about the USA’s position in the world, or maintaining economic and political leadership. They want a leader who supports their bigotry. So, regardless of how many smoking guns are found, regardless of how strong the evidence is that Trump is in Putin’s pocket, his support will not fall below 40%.
