The former is quite hard as it goes with the lifestyle to an extent, although as she put it "if you're good enough, you never have to pay for your drugs". The harder thing was ever trying to have a "normal" relationship. Just not doable, which is why so many of them end up with bouncers and the drama that can bring them.
