Looks like the bucket was intended for Westminster and went off prematurely a few stops too early.

Blimey this gets close to home. I caught an earlier train this morning in an effort to not be late due to usual delays.

Had I caught my usual train, I could have easily been on that tube.

A lot of friends and colleagues use that line around that time.
I remember I went to France once, it was only 65 years earlier that D-Day happened, thank god I missed that one.
Yeah you're right biggrin

The media are once again giving endless, wall-to-wall coverage to this. The attacker and his oppos will be rubbing their hands with glee because the London population are being more frightened by the BBC et al, than the failed attempt at a bombing. It should be reported briefly and factually only. Then the attackers will be frustrated by their attempt to put the fear of Allah up the country. Obviously it is serious that people have been hurt but banging on like this will not help them but it gives the cause of the attackers free publicity.

now I have no regular headline/breaking news input at all which I'm not happy about.
How sad is that?

Never mind, I'm sure the world will keep on turning even with you out of the loop.

Unfortunately the logical endpoint of that approach is not to report terrorist events at all and not to give terrorists the "oxygen of publicity" (as I think Mrs Thatcher called it). And then you end up with actors on the news doing funny voices reading out press releases and interview answers supplied by terrorist organisations, as we saw with the IRA in the 1980s.

Whats scary is how "normal" this is becoming, oh look another attack. No one takes notice any longer.

As our lovely Mayor tells us its all part and parcel of London life, and stuff...

True, but it's really fortunate that nobody kicked the bucket.

Would anything change if people died, or are the numbers not high enough yet?

A comment about the media reporting.

Why did C4 need to be on site at Parsons Green tonight?

Of what benefit?

Seems utterly pointless.

They all love it don't they. The worse the better. Fills up hours of rolling news with conjecture.

Being "at the scene" always gives a better feel for the story than being remote and distant.

This one's also just around the corner from the C4 newsroom and gets them out the office for a few hours.

I think maybe we've got our lines KrissKrossed here. It's very much worse when people die. Some people have been injured but hopefully they'll all make full recoveries. In the other attacks so far, people have been killed and had very serious injuries, so although the intent and the evil were there today, the result is nowhere near as bad as it could've been, or was intended to be.
