how on earth does someone with so little talent end up on that salary for not turning up to do their job. no wonder so many councils are cash strapped with that level of waste.1. Hypocritical s
Cannot help feeling very sorry for the entirely innocent children of the Cox's.
Quite how they get over the murder of Mum and the philandering of Dad (possibly with added aggression/or just boorish behaviour) and then having it stored online ready for regurgitation at any time...life sucks.
As for bully Brendan - hopefully he'll disappear from public view and actually dedicate himself to something worthwhile but low key. A very modern morality tale.

Interesting that he was suspended in 2015 from Save the Children but has just resigned whilst the investigation is still ongoing.............near 3 years later? Has he been getting paid during this time.
I think you may be mistaken.I see conflicting info on names of the charities he has resigned from, but if he did resign from Save the Children this week, that could be coming up to 3 years since the incident. And it was reported he resigned whilst the investigation was still ongoing.

Utterly imbecilic.A stark reminder of how the bien pensant left are tying themselves up in moral knots, too busy virtue signalling to notice their increasing lack of relevance to the ordinary working population they purport to represent.

So had he resigned from Save the Children previously then?

He resigned from Save the Children in 2015, and at that time their investigation was in progress. He has now stepped down from 2 of the charities set up in the wake of Jo Cox's murder.I see conflicting info on names of the charities he has resigned from, but if he did resign from Save the Children this week, that could be coming up to 3 years since the incident. I agree with Rachael, you can tell he's contrite. https://twitter.com/RachaelSaunders/status/9650249...

It took a lot of guts to resign just as the press was about to go public on things. That folks, shows just how truly sorry he must be.....

Charities and NGOs these days are becoming a collection of revolving doors for a certain type, whether it's Labour MPs & councillors, charity workers, Chairs of charitable trusts, heads of certain council services etc. etc.The new establishment is right under our noses and we're hosing vast sums of money at them without even realising it.

i realised it a long time ago. greenpiss, wwf, stc etc etc all exist to line their own pockets primarily. secondary to that is to push certain agendas ,all that government funding whether from home or the eu comes at a cost.many of the so called philanthropic organisations shoving huge amounts the way of green ngo's are basically lobbying in a more tax efficient way. most are now a long, long way from what the initial definition of a charity covered. the people with the genuinely good intentions that do the hard grunt work on the ground have my sympathy, many must be wondering what the juddering fk is going on at the top. plenty stories appear on the net regarding strange decisions and actions over the years. you need to save them when you find them though as they all have people looking for negative press online and getting it removed.
there was a story regarding a certain global charity that was involved in a dispute between natives and the companies working on the black tar sands in canada. the suggestion was the charity basically stalled negotiations over a long period of time so the damage in the particular area was done before anything was resolved. subsequent "donations" to a separate foundation that then pass them on elsewhere might support that story. it can no longer be found anywhere on the internet to my knowledge .

I find it very odd that charities like Oxfam get public money and then seem to spend a lot of their public time campaigning against govt. policy. Mark Benson said:

Totally agree with you. I was slaughtered a few years ago when I was involved with a local business and we refused to be linked or to have anything to do with a well know national charity.

so do i.makes me wonder how often that stated policy might not be what certain people within government want. i also object to ngo's/quangos that are basically private companies getting tax payer funds to push their own agenda. an agenda that is quite often limited to a few people within the organisation. particularly when it has the potential to impact thousands or tens of thousands of people that cannot vote out those running these private companies.Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
