I know many people, most of them young (sub 40) professionals who would have normally voted Tory but would no longer touch them with a barge pole due to their threat of a referendum.
They may have persuaded a few old telegraphers to move back from ukip but they will have lost a lot of votes to labour and the Lib Dems.
In the most part the actual people in charge in government rarely make that much difference to daily lives despite what we like to think, except this time they are threatening to take away my complete freedom to live and work anywhere in the EU…to me that’s unacceptable.
Why would you not be allowed to work in the EU? There are plenty of Brits working in countries all over this beautiful planet that aren't in the EU.They may have persuaded a few old telegraphers to move back from ukip but they will have lost a lot of votes to labour and the Lib Dems.

My dad did have to attend 6 months of intensive dutch lessons when we got there though and rightly so IMO. I don't know if that was work or national policy, I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't happen any more either way though!
Free movement within Europe will not stop with our withdrawal, it just may take an extra few minutes going through passport control.

For those not familiar with the EU's tactics...http://order-order.com/2014/02/27/eu-spends-2-mill...
Also IIRC there was a vote in the HOC in this parliament that the government passed to increase the budget for EU propaganda...

If your parents are over UK retirement age at the moment under EU provisions they get access to Spanish health care. Leave the EU and they may lose this.
Not sure if its specifically EU related. Non EU residents get health care in Spain. The crucial point is if you are a resident.https://www.gov.uk/healthcare-in-spain

But that would have been a citizen test not unlike our own.

Not as a tourist I agree. Howvere, if you want to work in Europe you would need a visa before you get to passport control.Free movement within Europe will not stop with our withdrawal, it just may take an extra few minutes going through passport control.

It would give the country you are going to the option of saying we don't want you but that is what most brits want to be able to say to some of the immigrants coming here. and that would not necessarily be a bad thing as we get to prioritise incomers based on our nations needs.

By the way, most kippers aren't (outwardly) racist. The debate has moved on since simple-minded racism accusations. The modern sophisticated kipper would never act in a blatantly racist way or the game would be up, the thin veil of respectability gone.
You can't really assume someone is a racist if they aren't outwardly racist in their views or actions, can you?

So in other words, nothing racist said or stated but you'll ignore that any way and assume racism because you are so sure you are right and in your mind it's OK to make that leap ? More great Zyggy 'thinking', not unlike the time you turned amateur sleuth in the Mohammed Saleem case to tell us that the EDL did it, only to go missing on that thread when a Ukrainian man was convicted of his murder. See what you want to see much ?Misplaced nostalgia

I suppose if you keep shouting people down long enough and keep demanding like little hitler what they can or cannot say, eventually they just keep their mouths shut to try and keep the peace for fear of the consequences. This trend I believe will however reverse itself soon. We have seen that already now that LAB-CON are even talking about such issues, now somehow its ok to discuss because they say so?Misplaced nostalgia

Can you explain "misplaced nostalgia", what exactly do you mean by that bit?

Quite. The news doesn't get any better today with over 4000+ criminals awaiting deportation, 700+ missing without trace, 58 considered extremely dangerous.
How does Dave ever expect to negotiate new terms on immigration when he can't even be bothered to deport those he can.
Complete and utter failure.

A bit more detail shows that most people are actually not that happy with the current setup.
Devil in the detail as always.

UKIP is still not the answer to resolving these problems for the very simple reason that it is highly unlikely to form a government any time soon.
Not true. If UKIP win the election, Lord Nige will personally come round and stop your dog barking at 3am. Think they won't? You only need look at Blair's boundary changes.....they'll do it again & lock us so tightly into the EU & devolve power to major metropolitan authorities (like Manchester etc where Labour has perpetual control) so that it won't matter any more.

Oooh I havent had that thrown at me before how novel!
Firstly not a Kipper, in my 60 years 40 voting I have voted for them once (recent Euros) former Young Liberal and marxist family background, been a floating voter for many decades since I left the liberal party.
Clearly you dont read the thread or are just trolling.
Second Xenophobia really, I have business interests in several countries (as diverse as France and China), so exactly how would that work then?
My issue is with The data, and the general dissatisfaction with the current political elites, something you would understand if you did the courtesy of reading the threads before trotting out the usual bullst insults.
When you have something of value to add beyond the usual well worn tripe I will possibly respond until then I will ignore you.
I don't remember insulting you, but I'm not going to read the threads or all 22,000 of your posts either, so I guess I can consider myself ignored.Firstly not a Kipper, in my 60 years 40 voting I have voted for them once (recent Euros) former Young Liberal and marxist family background, been a floating voter for many decades since I left the liberal party.

[kipper]things were so much better in the good old days[/kipper]Can you explain "misplaced nostalgia", what exactly do you mean by that bit?
Usually meant to mean pre-1972 of course. A year that is burned into the heart & soul of every swivelly-eyed type.
I usually forget to vote, and when I do forget it doesn't really bother me because I always feel that it wouldn't have made much difference anyway.
But the pathetic insults and childish behavior of the 'anti kippers' on this thread and in the media in general has made me absolutely determined to vote for UKIP in the coming GE.
It's nice to know that my vote will effectively cancel the vote of a left wing numpty like eharding or zygalski.
