Where can they cut back on money???
Discussion
Lol, I didn't spot that at first.
That is a WEEK!
Fookin ell!
Who do these people think they are? They have had so much money to piss up the walls for so long they have no idea how to be frugal. They have no idea how little people who actually DO work have to spend.
More than anything it makes me bitter having to pay tax to support people who just want to scum it up at home all day sat on their arse, brining up kids with the same kind of values.
THEIR benefits should be halved in my view. They don't need £120 mobile phones a month that is for sure. £60 on sky a month! 100 tins of lager a month, almost 1000 cigarettes!
That is £450 a month right there. Their health will be better, they will be better parents, nicer people with more motivation. Still have plenty of decent TV, but more motivation to get off their bums and use the internet they pay for to look for jobs or skill up for free.
I just can't get how labour can defend these type of people and that kind of lifestyle. It serves no benefit to anyone to have people living like that! Those paying for it, nor those thinking it's ok to live like that!
They easily have the money to rent a bigger house, and cut back on waste and vices that serve them no benefit. They could be very happy with that money, but instead they live like scrotes
How about vouchers for all their money? Force them to provide adequate space for their kids first. Ban tobacco and cigs and excessive entertainment (£60 sky ffs!)

Totally agree with minimum wage -50% but they could also hand out benefits in the form of vouchers or tokens. These could be redeemed at any food store, but they couldnt be used to purchase cigarettes or alcohol. If you were an alcoholic, then you would have to be put onto a programme which is prescribed until you were clean. Patches for smokers would be available with tokens. I would quite happily provide cash benefits to those who have been seeking work for up to 12 months as there are genuine folk who will have had bad hand, made redundant and forced to look elsewhere in a market where there arent many options. But anyone unemployed for more than 12 months needs to be forced into work as I'm sure they could keep looking after they've got a job.
There are literally millions of "Rays" out there, and as generation after generation fail to find gainful employment, they are setting the example to their offspring that a life on benefits is all they can expect (With extras made up from crime).

If you can afford to buy cigarettes, booze, Sky etc then your benefits are too much.
I can't understand why they don't have a bigger house - life with 8 of them in a 3 bed council house must be pretty horrendous.Deva Link said:

I suspect it is linked to the fact that the man of the house cannot be bothered to work and they piss their money away on lager, fags and Sky. It's very clear that they don't want a larger house or he would cut out the £100+ a week of luxury wastage and use it to pay the additional rent on the larger property. It was also their choice to have 8 in the house.
This feckless family reminds me of a story my wife told me of the time she used to review hardship cases for a high street building society.
The first check they would make was to see if the customer had a direct debit for sky or cable. If they did the claim was rejected immediately on the grounds that no-one in real hardship would keep paying for luxuries.

People CAN stop smoking just like that, if they need to.
The problem is there is no need for these scrotes to do that when they keep getting paid £££ to carry on doing the same!

And they would presumably seek a reduction in mortgage payments before cutting this necessity? Amazing. The first check they would make was to see if the customer had a direct debit for sky or cable. I don't think it was mortgage payments but overdraft fees (and then fees on top of the fees etc.). However, they would still claim that they were destitute whilst still paying for sky.DonkeyApple said:

It's genuinely baffling. Why is no one telling these kids they are fking up their lives right at the outset?http://www.guardian.co.uk/money/blog/2012/feb/01/d...

What is wrong with this country where the adults and parents are not explaining to the kids that going out to restaraunts and night clubs and joining gyms at uni is not normal?
This is exactly why so many children of the baby boomers are such complete fking incompetant morons unable to look after themselves and totally reliant on handouts.
They blame everything on rich people and don't even stop to look at the fact that their problems are 100% as a result of their chosen lifestyle.
Why aren't the people in authority standing up and telling these kids to get a grip????!!!!!!

Just got to this point. I suspect it has been mentioned that he already spends £20 a week on going to the pub, so, realising that people need some form of release, even from a hard day my fav:

That property is in the middle of nowhere – meaning the family would almost certainly incur more travel costs and possibly higher food bills (unless there is a Tesco next door, which I don’t think there is). I note also that the energy rating is very low so fuel bills are unlikely to drop. And I doubt that the family has the money for a deposit or to cover any moving bills.Seem to be st loads of big properties in North Wales for bugger all rent.
