Don't be silly. She's got a strong personality imo and if she needs to modify policy for the better then so what. As for brexit, every opposition politician would get slaughtered. Jezzer's just an apologist lamb waiting to be served with mint sauce whilst selling us out.

Hopefully so. The British public are complete idiots.

Do you really live your life walking around the shops, driving on our roads thinking "aren't we all just great"...I don't...

I think May limited her damage with the final minute... but up until then she looked shaken and very weak.

Again, I'm happy with a Tory party leading Brexit negotiations - but May is NOT the person.

She'd be useless at poker; let's put it like that. Utterly useless.
David Davies is the lead negotiator.

She did say yes, at 87 minutes into the program. She said it twice, they then pan to the audience and women on the end of the row in black dress with pendant round her neck pulls a "blimey" face.

she then says "you have to", when asked again, and expands on that.

open your eyes and ears slasher, go look at it again.
There are a class of people now that just sneer and mock things they don't agree with. People may not like TM but when there is a choice so stark as her or Corbyn she is going to win hands down. I didn't watch the programme I thought it was a futile event that will be forgotten by everyone but the media. Just over a week to go all the Conservatives need to do is keep a low profile and let Labour expose themselves for what they are a far left protest party with members who are leftover from Militant Tendency etc.

Don't be daft. In my mind; neither of them are the people to do it. Anyone thinking May is the right person to handle Brexit is blinkered... to put it mildly.

Confirmed I saw that live too.
Is ajp a lefty per chance?
Member of the EU resistance movement I think, could be left, right or a Farronista.

Some of Paxman's questioning was, well, questionable to say the least.

To keep asking how much has been set aside to leave the EU was tttish. It's like me going into a final account meeting, but phoning up the commercial director beforehand and saying, 'I'm still on for our final account meeting tomorrow, but - just to let you know - I'm after £2.3 million as a settlement, but can go to £1.8 million to get my reported out-turn profit'.

I did like May responding with figures when asked; almost as if she was determined to make (if it were possible) Diane Abbott look like the nonsensical shadow HS that she is.

On top of this, Corbyn was totally calm. He'd make you fold pocket aces with a 2-7 off-suit and not even have to brag about it. Pure class.

The independent observers now on; saying Corbyn came out the best...

... and that Paxman was rubbish. Everyone in agreement on that one.

Corbyn being widely declared on Twitter and in the online papers as the clear winner. Calmer and in control. Even Farage tweeted in his favour.

Paxo being slammed as a celebrity pantomime act.

Only positive for May was she performed strong on Brexit. The other ~90% of the show was a car crash. She crumbles under tough questions.

Expect Labour to take the lead in a poll over the next few days.

Foreign press also saying May looked the weaker... flustered; stuttering and constantly caught off guard.

Interesting - as I thought it was closer.

Corbyn clear winner, compared with May anyway.

A bit like lumpy custard over a sour blancmange...but still, clearly you'd take lumpy custard.

May knew her stuff. Corbyn apparently didn't need any facts and figures or even answers, he's all about ideas hehe

If it wasn't for Brexit, I think Corby would do much better than initially expected. I think enough people will want May and the conservatives at the helm for the Brexit negotiations though.

Overall I enjoyed the show, I doubt it did either much harm but these debates usually seem to help the under dog more as it makes them look like potential leaders and gives them an equal standing in the debate.

May went down like a puppy dog on wet lino. Really surprised how much she was jeered.

Paxman's school prefect routine was dated and helped Corbyn come out looking better

Audience member's 'bks' was one of those tv moments not to be forgotten.

Paxos questions were poor.

The answers obvasive, even when no harm would be caused by saying yes or no.

Would you issue tne strike order for tne drone?
Why not just say yes he would if neccesary?

Would you walk away with no deal?
Just say yes!

Stop tne evasive games.
It's as if they can't say the yes or no words.
It's inbued in them to be evasive.
The fact she can't say "yes" to no deal speaks volumes - she doesn't mean it, she desperately wants a deal, but has been persuading to play the "no deal" charade.

Perhaps it is only to fool the gullible and has no real purpose in the negotiations, it does seem to work on some after all.
You very obviously did NOT watch it Slasher. Very typical Slasher, eh? You're just going on philv comments.
He got it wrong. She did say YES to no deal, in fact more than once near the end.
