Threat now raised to 'critical'.
Does that mean we have to change the bulb?

A comment about the media reporting.

Why did C4 need to be on site at Parsons Green tonight?

Of what benefit?

Seems utterly pointless.
Being "at the scene" always gives a better feel for the story than being remote and distant.

This one's also just around the corner from the C4 newsroom and gets them out the office for a few hours.

But it had Di in it
You can't get more remote and distant than that

Some commentary on the ISIS statements from Rukmini Callimachi who is an absolute badass where ISIS are concerned:

The ISIS statement roughly translated says:
Explosive device in subway in London implemented by a detachment of the Islamic state

ISIS don't usually claim responsibility while the attacker is still at large (which I believe they are atm).

Contrary to popular belief, ISIS have never claimed an attack that hasn't had a link to them (either directed by or inspired by).

Their language is to spin the attack as a success (which it basically was I suppose), and to make it sound like that several people and several devices are involved (which we don't know yet).

Whats scary is how "normal" this is becoming, oh look another attack. No one takes notice any longer.

As our lovely Mayor tells us its all part and parcel of London life, and stuff...
Did you live through the 80's and 90's with the IRA... yes it is normal. These things get normalised it is how a populous deals with it..

That and tea and black humour!

IRA didn't have the goal to introduce sharia in UK and convert everyone to their religion though, this threat won't go away anytime soon and that's the biggest problem

But the IRA had another goal they were equally as passionate about. What's the difference?

ISIS haven't managed to achieve that even in countries where the population is 99.99% Muslim so I think they'll struggle if they try it elsewhere.

At what cost. One day you will understand life outside your Echo Chamber.

Perhaps.

redcard You can't use black humour online, lest someone be offended by it (thereby not understanding the humour part of it).

Have the temerity to publish it on ttter or faecesbook, and you'll get a knock on the door from PC PC and his chums in short notice!
