I'm not arguing that Trump lies, but one of the biggest criticisms is the lies and misinformation. But this seems to be coming from both sides, like your post.

Your argument is he lied so he must be doing the same now. There is possibly a certain amount of logic with such argument but it isn't and shouldn't be how it works. Evidence and facts are needed to make such claims even if there is a record of dishonesty.

Just because Trump does it shouldn't make it a race to the bottom by everone doing the same.
When someone lies as much as Trump does, it's much simpler to assume he has lied rather than trying to wade through the lies and prove otherwise. He can lie faster than anyone can fact check. His (high) output of lies serves to protect him. Dont fall into the same trap or expect others to.

The fact he is beholden and in the pocket of the likes of the Saudis and Putin is so transparent.
It’s so blatant, it really is incredible. I know the wheels of justice turn very slowly, but it doesn’t even feel like we are anywhere near the end game yet. How long will he be allowed to line his own pockets while the GOP and the American people look away?

Here's Obama volunteering at a food bank

?Barack Obama volunteered today at a food bank for Thanksgiving. Watch this video until the end, when he says how proud he is of the young girl for helping. Watch the genuine reaction. And the joy. And love. This is a real American President. Thanks, Obama.

He really is on another planet compared to this nowadays.

More class in little finger than Trump has in his whole body (regardless of either of their politics).

Oil prices getting lower. Great! Like a big Tax Cut for America and the World. Enjoy! $54, was just $82. Thank you to Saudi Arabia, but let’s go lower!

Hey murder a couple more opponents, as long as you drop the oil price further...
Also - Shale output has risen sharply over the past decade, pushing U.S. oil production to a record above 10 million barrels a day in 2018.
The Permian Basin in Texas is hugely responsible for that

The fun thing is that such a low oil price decimates the oil industry that is currently almost coming back to being viable. I've been around the various 'cold stacking' ports in the South and its like a graveyard of offshore support vessels. No-one in Houston, Dallas, Fouchorn, etc. are going to be happy about $54/ barrel.

Don't think Trump cares too much about the Scottish economy. If he did, the Aberdonian 'trump is a ' slogan of the locals near his golf course might hurt his fee fees wink

Trumps also forgotten that it was partly his actions that got it to $82:

Just how is that wall coming along??
trump want's his monument.
He told reporters at the White House Saturday that this would be a "good time" for a government shutdown if he doesn't get funding from Congress for his border wall.
"I think probably, if I was ever going to do a shutdown over border security, when you look at the caravans, when you look at the mess, when you look at the people coming in, this would be a very good time to do a shutdown," Trump said.
Trump added, however, that he didn't think a shutdown would "be necessary, because I think the Democrats will come to their senses."

Mind you he also said that the US military will remain at the US-Mexico border "as long as necessary," suggesting that the 5,900 troops deployed to the border could stay there past December 15. We know thats not true as they are planning for the withdrawal now.

Those troops mostly put up some barbed wire as a symbolic gesture

Love how everyone is becoming an oil expert now that Trump is going about it.

Trump has always been pushing for a low oil price, as it benefits the economy. It's the same as his ranting about the Fed putting up interest rates - high rates/high oil prices will slow the general economy down.

The main reasons for some of the recent price increases was related to the Iran sanctions, and the OPEC plus Russia production target. This pushed up the price, and just a little over a few weeks ago people were speaking about $100 plus. However Trump was putting a lot of pressure on the OPEC (Saudis) to cut their production target to make the oil price go down. So the Iran sanctions pushed the price up, but if OPEC didn't keep rates artificially low it would have stayed down anyway. It now turns out the Iran sanctions will not be as strict as thought, and the predicted future world demand is now lower, hence the drop off a cliff we see in recent weeks. Might be partly oversold now due to panic selling.

However one thing to remember is a lot of companies will have been hedging on the prices. It's interesting, there was an article saying some companies were going to be losing loads of money as their hedging failed, but wonder how it looks with the recent drops. It means if they have hedged at recent high prices they can happily produce lots at a decent profit even if the price drops lower again. So depends how long this drop lasts. In addition companies are much better placed to cope with the downturn this time (unless it's one of the zombie companies).

Looks like mueller is saying it's time papadopolous goes to jail

The filing contrasts Papadopoulos's pre-sentencing "remorse" with his post-sentencing protests that he did nothing wrong.

Obviously happy he's completed muellers answer, trumps gone golfing today at Trump International Golf Club in Florida.

Just because people are keeping count, this is Trump's 162nd day at a Trump golf club and 214th day at a Trump property as president.

The chief of Russia's GRU military intelligence agency, which is accused of orchestrating the Salisbury Novichok attack, has died after "a serious and long illness," Russian news agencies have reported, citing the defense ministry.

With Putins recent record, it does make you wonder if he had the same symptoms as those in salisbury...

from the article
We can put that another way. Ninety percent of the Republican caucus will be white men. Two-thirds of the Democratic caucus won’t be.

2/3 of Democratic caucus are not white men. Or, put yet another way: If you run into a white man on the House floor next year, there’s a 2-to-1 chance he’ll be a Republican. If you run into a woman, there’s a 7-to-1 chance she’s a Democrat. If you run into a person of color, there’s a 10-to-1 chance that representative is a Democrat.
