No as that is a RELIGIOUS symbol - hence why I capitalised cultural.
Didn't think so. It's ok as long as it's your religious symbol/it's not a Muslim one. Strike out whichever takes your fancy. b) The Burka is not a requirement of Islam - that is what you have stressed countless times on here, you said it was an extreme interpretation driven out of Saudi Arabia - are you now back tracking ?????

Please quote the countless times I've said that?b) The Burka is not a requirement of Islam - that is what you have stressed countless times on here, you said it was an extreme interpretation driven out of Saudi Arabia - are you now back tracking ?????
And if it's not a religious symbol, what other dress codes would you like to enforce, or items of clothing you'd like to ban?

You might not like it, but many in the west don't like any interpretation of Islam - you can have a theoretical debate but Muslims are not liked by your typical westerner - argue the semantics and fairness but that will not come into play in this type of decision making.
That is the reality - cry that it's unfair or what not but people would shrug...Islamaphobia is rife whether justified or.not.
If I'm honest, I for one would not shed a tear and many of my so called 'Muslim' friends wouldn't care if every single mosque closed down - secular society is the best place for is to head, so I not surprised western society is starting with the religion which it finds most backwards and alien.

I think people would say anything which curtails Islam without trampling on religion per se.

I'd happily export them to a muslim country but it's to late for that so the french have to make the best of a bad problem. It's to late to close the door now.
You'd export French Nationals to a country they've never been to?Presumably you'd do the same with Muslim Brits?
That's almost as stupid as exporting Brits who espouse Britishness, but can't spell or use grammar properly.

"Bonjour! I know you are third generation Frenchman and don't speak Arabic but we're putting you on a plane to Saudi because of your particular imaginary friend beliefs. You know, Saudi Arabia, a place that also doesn't want you. Laters..."More ignorant and extreme than Trump.
I wonder how he feels about French/British/US muslim troops KIA.

I must confess to not knowing much about France, but aren't a lot of the "immigrants" from countries France colonised?More ignorant and extreme than Trump.

Really?
We have a dress code at work.
And last time I got naked on the tube, Boris was most upset.
So let me get this right, it's ok to have a dress code as long as you don't find it objectionable (on whatever grounds), but it's not ok for someone to exercise their own free will to dress how they want to?We have a dress code at work.

Your sounding like the big lion now. No religious garb, unless it's my religious garb.
Where do nuns fit into your world?
