Cyril Smith - the revellations

any suggestions as to how to stop it derek . i am of the dragging and burning persuasion but appreciate we do not have enough french people in the uk to make much of a success of that.
That is the most depressing part in all of this: there is nothing we can do.Revolution is pointless: why replace one lot of self-servers with another?
Evolution doesn't work: as threats to the establishment surface, they are dealt with. We have Leveson and we have the restrictions on Google. We, the plebs, had a glimpse of being able to discover things about people easily and quickly. When the PCC elections came up I treated them seriously (seriously I did - farcical) and I searched on individuals to see what I could find. Now, of course, Google is nothing more than a PR exercise, and this has come about without any fuss at all. We, the people, cannot be trusted with information. I mean, we might wander off and discover things.
Now if you want to discover who it was who was tried and convicted for child abuse, Google might not let you.

"He bawled me out. He was rude and offensive and hostile."That rings true.
That said, when I was told off it was more of a case of: You'd best take care 'cause there's nothing we can do if they catch you saying such stuff.
MI5 have a job to do and the 70s in NI were, if I remember, somewhat fraught. I can see the point of running the offenders but not letting them continue. If they did that, then we should know.
Derek, I could be mistaken but I thought you weren't much of a fan of Keith Vaz. He appears on this web page in connection to Elm Guest House because he was the solicitor for Richmond Council at the time is says:

They could have a point what with the scan of the newspaper article quoting Vaz when he was working in that part of London:http://google-law.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/keith-vaz...
The mention of others that may know something about it has reminded me about the backlash for Theresa May appointing Baroness Butler-Sloss. I wonder how many people may be making life difficult for Simon Danczuk? Sadly searching to remind myself of Danczuk's forename I came across the Daily Mail's piece on his wife's use of social media. Hopefully they won't cast a shadow on his endeavours to date. It seems a bit Bercow to me.
More revelations. Keith Vaz's past, that some may already have issues with, may be worse than they thought, and Danczuk's wife posts selfies?

I thought this thread was a better place for that rather than use the Bill Maloney, Chris Fay and Exaro matters to get tangential from the Sunningdale raid with OJ Simpson like aerial press coverage.
We're fighting nasty regimes abroad while doing stuff like that here? That can't be right can it?

I'm really not sure what to make of that:

"Nottinghamshire City Council and County Council deny any liability for abuses against Melanie and some 100 other child victims at Beechwood alone. They prefer to buy off victims with public money - some £250,000 to date, although it is understood that the Judge presiding over compensation awards for victims has now withdrawn until the police investigation is complete."
It's an example of just another cover-up technique isn't it? Hush money for the victims and a rough ride for those that won't back down.
Or is that reading too much into it?
The rather ham fisted and stupidly ineffective attempts to throw a towel over these events are increasingly frantic. Attempts are being made to stop it in it's tracks before it gets to some 'really important' people way up the flagpole. The highest individual, so far, was once observed in an act with a minion, if memory serves. About 10 years ago?

you have to laugh at sending troops to foreign climes to deal with "atrocities" when we have our very own happening at home.Revolution is pointless: why replace one lot of self-servers with another?

is this a price people are prepared to pay for the relatively comfortable lifestyle the majority live in this country, allowing the societal and political elite to bugger children, and worse it would appear ? apparently so.
personally i think these people are savages ,should be dealt with as such,by savage actions . i smoke 30 a day,at least now i have names for a list should i ever get a terminal disease and wonder what to do with the time left.

Indeed, look at this lot that either have religion and/or on the APPG against corruption:http://www.micahchallenge.org/blogs/122
Doing some photo opportunity to preach to the world that we need to stop corruption and campaigning about a lack of probity in public life.
I think Tessa Munt in that EXPOSED campaign photo is to the left of the group when Bill Maloney ambushes Clegg. She was on Radio 4's PM after the conviction of Rolf Harris saying she'd been a victim of sexual abuse and she gets lots of mail from people about it. And she's signed up to the list backing Simon Danczuk. So that group of the Great and the Good wants to preach to the rest of the world while Melanie Shaw is detained by a CPS that a judge has to wet nurse?
The Dr behind that EXPOSED campaign is a missionary of that well known Middle East Peace Envoy, Tony Blair.
I feel a bit sorry for that young bespectacled brunette on Clegg's right after Maloney had ambushed him.
Perhaps we all need to write to our MPs suggesting a nonce amnesty before the general election and pledge not to keep score on which party has the most paedos?

Just finished watching a very good and surprisingly unsensational documentary on the crimes of Mr Savile on the Ci channel.
With the statements on there from witnesses regarding the parties that Mr Savile appeared to help organise (including one involving his own nephew.) , I think some posters on that other thread really need to re consider their position on the possibility of well organised child abuse rings operating at the highest levels within our society for a very long period of time.

I couldn't agree more, still being ridiculed over believing any of this over at cliff thread, but I'll carry on banging on about it.With the statements on there from witnesses regarding the parties that Mr Savile appeared to help organise (including one involving his own nephew.) , I think some posters on that other thread really need to re consider their position on the possibility of well organised child abuse rings operating at the highest levels within our society for a very long period of time.
I don't think the response is malicious, I just think people struggle to believe in something they can't get their head around, yes, I'm pretty sure that's all it is, people have a mental block to the subject matter and just can't/won't believe what they're hearing.

It's very interesting to read peoples' opinions on the matter of political cover-ups, mostly happening on the Cliff Richard thread.
I for one, am amazed at the denials that there could be anything untoward taking place in the corridors of power.

A corrupt police officer may have helped a paedophile evade justice for 20 years, a report has revealed.
William Goad, from Plymouth, Devon, is said to have abused thousands of boys over three decades.
Two investigations in 1987 and 1994 collapsed before Goad was finally jailed in 2004. He died in 2012.
An internal investigation has cited the "suspicious" behaviour of an officer, but said he had died and there was not enough evidence to take further action.

I particularly like the bit about the officer could have called around his home to collect for a Golf tournament and not to tip him off that he was about to be raided.
I'm not sure what the difference is between people that sodomise young boys and those in authority that cover up for them.
It would seem the same police force had to be dragged kicking and screaming to deal with PC Danny Bryant. A bit like those in organised religions that fail to act, their reluctance to deal with it allowed him to interfere with more lads.
