Reading his Wiki entry he does seem to be a bit of a prick so I'd be wondering exactly what led to him being beaten up.

Of course. It needs to be made clear that the people ticking all the Facist boxes are those supposedly supporting the liberal left.
That’s not true at all.Far left and far right (and there’s disgusting examples of both) are much the same. There’s nothing liberal about any of them in any sense of the word.
If they’re “ticking fascist boxes” or attacking people they’re not the liberal left are they?
It’s like pointing at right wing thugs and saying they’re supporting the conservative right. Obviously they’re not.
I agree with you. AntiFa are thugs and ticking the boxes, yet they appear to be supported by the liberal left who dare not say anything for fear of being instantly labelled as 'the enemy'.
The right leaning are vocal in denouncing the hard right and the morons at that end of the spectrum, the hard left are sitting on the opposition benches and actively calling out for violenc

the problem with a lot of the left is they oppose the right too much rather than rely on their own ideals, they adopt anything the right have a problem with rather than running it through, eg the rise of Islamic extremism.I agree with you. AntiFa aren't some homogeneous group with a clearly defined agenda. They're just a bunch of anti facism / anti right wing protesters. Some of them clearly use these protests as an excuse for a ruck and justify it as fighting violence with violence. Chuck in someone with a very clear agenda who has built his whole brand on being the enemy of 'AntiFa' and it shouldn't surprise anyone that he eventually ended up getting attacked.

That doesn't make any kind of sense at all. Labour/Lib Dem Policy isn't "let's look at what the Tories are doing and then do the exact opposite".In fact I think some of the current Conservative party policies were ones that ed Milliband was putting forward when he was Labour leader.

Yes he's a "bit right". His parents had their belongings stolen, were imprisoned and more by Marxist revolutionaries, and America granted them refugee status, you think there's a point a which you can grant him his position?

I was referring to many of the people who identify as left/liberal, and not to politicians who as you say largely all follow a broadly similar agenda. I mean the Tories gave as gay marriage and labour privatise the nhs so that's a WHOLE other discussionIn fact I think some of the current Conservative party policies were ones that ed Milliband was putting forward when he was Labour leader.

I'm the liberal left and I think that Antifa look like a bunch of w*****s.

Again that’s not true either. On here we see loads of examples of decent people unwilling to denounce right wing thugs. I agree with you. Take Trump’s, and posters on PHs “bad people on both sides” after the guy was run over by that nutty right winger.
It’s the old my friend is my enemy’s enemy or something like that.
The right are no better at denouncing the their extremists than the left.
It’s just the old political horseshoe with extremists at each end and as you move away from the middle you somehow become less able to denounce your own extremists.

What's a "bit right"? Having had bad things happen to your parents doesn't give you the right to act like a twunt. If you read through the Wiki article it's not just the Far Left he seems to have issues with, it's liberals in general. Combined with the fact that he seems to be a Breitbart fanboi also suggests that he's more than a "bit right".Yes he's a "bit right". His parents had their belongings stolen, were imprisoned and more by Marxist revolutionaries, and America granted them refugee status, you think there's a point a which you can grant him his position?
Having said all that being a "bit right"/far-right doesn't mean you should get punched in the mouth. But, generally speaking, "acting like a twunt" increases the risks of it happening.

If you say so, I disagree.Admittedly based on nothing more than a general view.
