Is it fact that the Audi S3 driver/passengers were of Asian decent? I hadn't heard this yet.
In fact, I've heard nothing except details about the driver of the Taxi. And I can guarantee he wasn't breaking any speed records.
I've seen some photp's from the immediate aftermath. In fact, I've heard nothing except details about the driver of the Taxi. And I can guarantee he wasn't breaking any speed records.
At least two of the Audis occupants were of Asian descent, and %99.9 sure they were
British Asians.

I passed a really nice looking S3 on the A34 this weekend, driven very sedately by a chap of obvious Asian background....
I have never, ever seen a car actually being driven that was so slammed into the road. I'm guessing it actually had no suspension at all. I couldn't see how he could possibly turn the car around as his wheels and tyres were well into the wheel arches. (tyres were 'stretched' also).
It was verging on the comical, to see such a nice car, modified so extremely as that it surely couldn't have been road worthy in terms of passing an MOT.
I'm pretty sure its handling wouldn't have been improved by such extreme modifications...

Not worth the paper they're written on here...if you know the right person (suspect this is probably the case around the country too).andrewparker said:

meant more from that direction than a clear run down from 5ways. Road is 40mph and after the camera - assuming both that it is working or that the drivers cared anyway - you could easily add more speed into the underpass.
As for people commenting about the standard of driving in Birmingham, back in the early 90s when I was doing 20 or 30 odd thousand miles per year, a fair bit, from time to time, was in and around the city. My customers were in all the glamorous bits; Saltley, Bordesley Green, Small Heath, West Brom', Sandwell etc. etc. so you saw all sides of the place. IMHO even at that time, the ethnicity of the city was extremely diverse and I think it apt that others identify a sub-set of the population being responsible for the decline in standards, because the present ethnic mix is pretty much as it was before.
According to the 2011 census, one Birmingham 'group' had increased by 67% from 2001. Wiki figures so happy to be corrected. As for people commenting about the standard of driving in Birmingham, back in the early 90s when I was doing 20 or 30 odd thousand miles per year, a fair bit, from time to time, was in and around the city. To be honest the standard of driving over the entire country is far, far worse than it has ever been these days.
It has nothing to do with skin colour or the like and everything to do with road safety being dumbed down to the lowest common denominator. The more you treat people like children who don't know anything and must be told what to do all the time the more those people become reliant upon being told what to do so that once they have to make a split second decision they have nothing to fall back upon, no one to tell them what to do and as a result often make bad choices.
Whilst I agree with these sentiments, there is definitely a growing sub-culture in places like Birmingham. This collision is certainly not attributable to dumbing down! Clearly there's been a major fkup on someone's part!It has nothing to do with skin colour or the like and everything to do with road safety being dumbed down to the lowest common denominator. Also I'd wager that second and third generation immigrants are much less likely to want to integrate than first generation. Welcome to the UK of 2017!
I certainly don't find that to be the case with the people I know.Mothersruin said:

Scandalous! Oh, wait - the biggest increases are larger than that... MUCH larger. The largest increase in any one group between the 2001 and 2011 census looks to have been 335% - Black/Black-British: African origin. Second largest appears to have been 126% in Asian/Asian-British: Chinese origin. Not sure quite what they add to this discussion, but there we go.If you're talking about Asian/Asian-British, Pakistani origin, then the increase was only 26.6%, below the 32.8% increase for the Asian/Asian-British group as a whole. Big place, Asia. Med to Pacific, Arctic to Equator, 11 timezones, a third of the world's landmass and two-thirds of the world's population - and a snidge over a quarter of Brummies (26.6%).
Largest single group in Birmingham is... White: British. 53.1%. Twice as many as Asian-origin in total.
Second largest is indeed Asian/Asian-British: Pakistani origin - who are only half of all Asian/Asian-British, so outnumbered pretty damn near to 4:1 by White: British... And that's ignoring the 2% White: Irish origin, who you'd probably count as part of "us"...

Anyway, all the others you listed generally don't act like a bunch of s and generally have a good bash at integrating. Did you look at the images of the religious demographics and how they're spread, or not, throughout the city?
Some small differences in culture id like to chime in with... Young Asian lads arent really the types to be going out clubbing, drinking or saving up for week long benders on Spanish islands or going out causing trouble at Football games and other things young males sometimes get involved with. Its also very normal for young Asians to stay living with the family well into 20s or even 30s. So a young man with a half decent job has a lot of disposable income and free time and that gets put into pastimes like fast cars.
And lets remember there are still thousands of young Asians who are petrolheads and enjoy their cars responsibly, just like you lot on Pistonheads.
Not always Asian either, heres 12 people charged with public nuisance offences over those 'Bike Life ride outs' that were all over the news recently...
The men charged are:
• Bradley Bateman, a 24-year-old warehouse worker from Lockin Croft in Castle Vale
• Nicholas Dore, a 27-year-old mechanic from Wardlow Road in Nechells
• Shaqeel Karim, a 23-year-old warehouse worker from Wallace Road in Oldbury
• Jack Bentley, a 24-year-old admin assistant from Marlborough Road, Castle Bromwich
• Samuel Ward, a 20-year-old student from West Heath in Oldbury
• John Mcdonald, a 27-year-old factory worker from Ridfield Road in Birmingham
• Joshua Birchall, a 19-year-old delivery worker from Chantry Crescent in Great Barr
• Jamie Boyden, a 28-year-old mechanic from Keats Road in Wolverhampton
• Jamie Bayliss, aged 26, from Camberly Grove in Erdington
• Dean Moore, a 39-year-old security worker from St Giles Road in Tile Cross
• Darren Brown, a 39-year-old groundsman from Morar Close in Castle Vale
• Unemployed 18-year-old Luke Fox from Dagnell Road in Birmingham
Six other men and a teenage lad have already appeared in court also charged with public nuisance relating to anti-social biking.
Adam Ballanger 24, from Partridge Road in Yardley and a 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, both admitted the charge at Birmingham Crown Court on December 8.
