Im coming to the conclusion that this riot is nothing more than a bunch of 20 something's in the same way we had all the stupid riots in London over Covid.

Most of them probably have no idea what a pension is let alone how impacted they'll be in 40 odd years.

It's a funny thing though loss of skilled labour which is reported often makes me ask nit if 60 plus age group can't do it but if many can't.

My digger driver is 72 and two of my carpenters are in their middle 60s.

If you've done it for many years it's easier to keep doing it compared to an office worker suddenly trying to start.

If the idea that running a national pension scheme that we can't afford, indefinitely, is ok then we might as well all retire at 40.

It is still amusing how the French are rioting over their pension age being increased to 64, when in the UK, it is already 65 with the decision to raise it to 68, being delayed (but not necessarily cancelled)

You'll find it's the usual rioters, they'll use any excuse to hit the streets.

It’s 66 and going to 67 in 2028.
