[Blackadder's house sale viewing day]
Mrs. Pants: But what about the privies?
Blackadder: What we are talking about in privy terms is the latest in front wall fresh air orifices combined with a wide capacity gutter installation below.
Mrs. Pants: You mean you crap out the window?
Blackadder: Yes.
Mrs. Pants: Well in that case we'll definitely take it. I can't stand those dirty indoor things.

The Guardian Climate campaign:-

Except, they asked the question "The biggest story in the world", and got completely the wrong answer. The real question is how so many intelligent people have fallen for the climate change rubbish. Or the even bigger scandal of the 'adjusting' of data/records used to support the case

It seems our bills this winter will go up, to pay for coal-fired power stations to stay open. The ones forced to close thanks to EU carbon reduction idiocy.
I like my lights staying on, my view is, if you want to reduce carbon, great, but feel free to enjoy the carbon-less darkness and cold by yourself.
A great opportunity for the government to show some independence from Europe. No chance on either point.

Given all the billions of Euros thrown at Greece recently, Perhaps in this case, the EU should foot the bill for re commissioning these power stations since it was `their' directive which had them all shut down in the first place?I like my lights staying on, my view is, if you want to reduce carbon, great, but feel free to enjoy the carbon-less darkness and cold by yourself.

I had the temerity to point out, that right next door to an article in their environmental section
bleating about the foul evils of modern air travel, was an article in their travel section, exhorting their readers to `fly' to Hong Kong to sample the meat balls in a floating restaurant there, and to `fly' to Mexico to visit the wonderful street markets there. Funny that

Heard on Radio 4 this morning, Nigel Lawson the subject of a programme on Nigel Lawson, freely allowed to express his desire to see the Climate Change Act repealed, UK exit from the EU and the immorality of denying developing countries cheap energy.
Blimey...how did that one slip through? Somebody's head's going to roll at the BBC...

they have a plan to use the snippets to "prove" that the former influential "lawmaker" is clearly (in their view) short of a few marbles and thus anyone who may be of similar mind(fulness) must also be a groat short of a full half-crown.
