I’d be more concerned with the images floating around in the minds of middle aged men on an internet forum who’ve managed to rack up over 1,900 posts mocking a teenager pal.

So you think disagreeing with Greta's message is akin to being a child beater/molester?
And you're concerned about what goes on in other people's heads?

You're perfectly entitled to take your side on these issues but speaking like this repeatedly makes it hard to take anything you say seriously.

And yet rather weirdly you say nothing when its suggested that maybe I am having strange thoughts when all I’m doing is pointing out the patently obvious.

As for you finding it hard to take anything I say seriously, well, there goes my christmas frown

Don’t be silly, to many on here it’s barely got started.

Yet more mocking of the 16 year old "victim".

97 pages and counting.

Still, whatever finishes you off I suppose biggrin
Exactly why the people behind Greta used her in the first place.

Dress her like a 12 yr old, hand her the script, play the social media game, stir up the ‘emergency’.

But don’t question the child. The child that wants to turn government policy around and dictate the way of life for both children and adults. But you can’t question her, pass any negative comment or possess a critical view of it all.

With a handful of loyal followers launching to her defence at the first sign of humour, the path to a marxist climate utopia is secure, good work.
Q. How do you know you're in a leftwing bookshop?

A. There's no humour section.
When I think of stuff that has made me laugh down the years: Monty Python, Blackadder, Frankie Boyle, Red Dwarf, Southpark, Spitting Image. Not many Rightwingers there.

And useful idiots like the above bend to their will and do their bidding works like a fking charm which is why every dictator used little girls with pigtails for their propaganda too.

I think she has a point, but this kind of knowledge is around for decades,
at least since 1972 when "The limits to growth" were published.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Limits_to_Growth

I also understand her anger, and the arguments and feelings of the younger generation,
as they are on the thin end of the stick and life for them might become different, difficult and expensive.
This is partly caused by generations of descision makers acting very slowly or ignoring these studies,
or claiming they were influenced by "the enemy", be that "the west" in old eastern block propaganda,
or "the man-made climate hoax conspiracy" in many 1st world countries today.

I think the ship has truly sailed and the harbor is torn down, posh coastside houses were built instead.
But hey, I am turning 60 soon and just hope the breakdown will happen after I pop my clogs,
no kids to care about so will continue building my custombike and support Drag Racing.

Those with kids might have to face some serious questions from them,
how we dared to continue with our lifestyle and consumer commodities when we knew what was going on.
I am afraid they might look at their parents with total lack of understanding and very little sympathy,
we live in quite decadent times which we consider "normal",
like it was normal entertainment to feed people to lions,
or normal economy to hold them as slaves, or normal to burn witches a long time ago.

By pretty much every measure life has become more pleasant for humans, and here is the thing...it continues to do so.

I’ve gotten bored of waiting for the apocalypse. Life goes on...
