There is surely something wrong with that mother. I wouldn't let her near my kids if I was another parent at the pageant...
You don't suppose there is something wrong with all of them that go to the pageant?
Actually, that's a fair point.

Didn't Ozzy Osbourne get in a load of hot water for a music video parodying this sort of stuff? Why the hell are they not in trouble for really doing it?

And, I agree with the poster who suggested shooting the mother.

Fair point,
How is it that the show owner is not guilty of promoting child porn? Surely these images are in some way counted as child porn?
Having children as young as 4 parading around in swimsuits, with or without sexual enhancements is surely a reason for arrest.

Interesting. The PH massive implodes instantaneously when shown a little girl dressing up to look like a woman, but would not bat an eyelid at a boy dressed up as a soldier pretending to kill his mates.

It reminds me of American television somewhat; endless violence and death is an acceptable subject for broadcast but Janet Jackson's nipple at the superbowl nearly caused a societal meltdown.

Nonetheless, the mother clearly has issues.

Little girls like to dress up, even shoving a pair of socks down their top is fine... but in the comfort of their own home. Not at a beauty pageant and certainly not on national TV, that's just wrong.

There is this but the reality is that since the dawn of time kids have fought each other and mimicked warriors and fighters of old. Often not because of the death and murder but to engender the discipline, fighting sprit and comradeship such people also stand for.

On the other hand I don't think it has ever been acceptable to parade pre-pubescent children around in a sexually suggestive manner. Far less to make them endure painful operations to make them look adult, although I will grant you that there are some tribal customs which are preparatory towards this such as the neck stretching and ear piercing but this is just a whole new level of wrong, and from people in a society who ‘should know better’ rather than one where it is the continuation of age old custom.

I didn't miss it, I just didn't agree with it.

It's always been popular for boys to play army and girls to play dress up to look older. This is simply a more extreme example that is being inappropriately supported by the mother IMHO.

I was going to suggest it's only a pair of chicken fillets but after seeing that..... good grief!

Although I guess the mother knows where the money is, and trying to get a good education is perhaps too much hard work (finding a half decent school, hoping the child is bright enough to learn) when you can simply be a 'child star' with zero talent and get a few hundred thousand dollars from the media for having a pushy mother who makes you look like a sex doll? Plus there'll be follow up work through her teens seeing how she changes, then the inevitable "How did she turn out?" documentary when she hits mid-20s.

Fair enough, but in my opinion there is a gulf of difference between kids CHOOSING to play soldiers / dressing up, and what we're seeing here.

I agree on that - if the parent is pushing the kid into this, she needs stopping.

Actually I think I can shed some light here.

Yes kids play soldiers but when was the last time you saw some kids yelling...

"medic" & "hold on johnny, you're going to make it" and the like? Hardly ever as that's what pretend is, it's not fun to pretend you're being killed harshly and dieing on your back crying for your mother!

I'm not against kids playing dress up, but when the parents get involved and you end up with this? No that's not good!

Does anyone honestly think that teaching a four year old to flaunt her behind and bend over suggestively is not going too far?

As it's only pretend Caulkhead, would you be happy seeing children simulate oral sex, or doggy style banging? After all it's only pretend!

I've only read the Daily Soovy version of this as posted in this thread, but I seem to have missed the bit where she's been flaunting her behind and bending over suggestively. All I can see is some rather tasteless images of a pushy mother dressing her kid up as Dolly Parton.

Your last paragraph is sufficiently ridiculous to not deserve a response.
