Just like that other retard, Mark Duggan, why do people think the Police should go in and handle the situation Like SGT Wilson from Dads Army would - "I say, would you mind awfully getting out of the stolen car please ".

If this guy was suspected in firearms offences and already has a criminal record, who cares about them smashing in the windscreen on his stolen car ?
Once again, criminals are allowed to moan and be heard and become a victim , all because of their own actions in the first place.
I think some kinda counter complaints system is needed to show support in cases like this, we only get to hear of the poor 'victim' and those who are anti Police.

Should have given him both barrels of a 12 bore, never mind the basball bats.
One less to deal with.

No one cares about the scrote - the police acted like tools. One bloke, in a mini.....listening to Tracy Chapman! They went in like a bunch of thugs.

How would you handle it if he is suspected of firearms offences ? Are you going to take a chance ? I'll bet the Police know more on what this guy is really like beyond what his criminal record already tells us. If you act like a thug, don't expect to get treated much better than one.

To be fair I don't blame them for using a baseball bat. Most car windows these days are very solid and take some smashing and a truncheon isn't really sufficient to smash the window without a good few hits.

i coudn't care less about the baseball bats but the copper wearing the home made SWAT jacket with stick on letters made me chuckle - im surprised they werent driving an audi quattro.

as for failing to stop it looked like they were in a traffic jam..

Having tried to break the window of a van someone had locked the keys into i would have said I'd rather use a very pointed screwdriver than a baseball bat...

Why has the forum censored the words 'mini driver'?

The point for me is that it seems he wasn't ever suspected of firearms offences, at least according to the subsequent inquiry. This was thrown in to justify huge force.

Which makes me wonder if there was some ulterior (corrupt?) motive.

If they thought he may have a gun then send in armed cops and do it properly.....dont send in idiots with sports gear.
