as someone who considers himself just to the right of center politically why am I so drawn to his book?
I suspect it's because invariably people who describe themself as centre right are in fact socialists who are fooling themselves! On the other hand it might be worth reading to see if he mentions the £125k salary he paid his mistress out of public funds, somehow I doubt it though and suspect the book has had several visits to minitru before publication. . . . .
On a similar note i'm currently reading Tony Blairs autobiography for my sins (was a christmas present)...it's the literature equivalent of one of those beauty ads where the model is airbrushed to within an inch of her life. By the end I might just believe that he was a great PM and not just a war mongerer who frittered away the countries money on buying the electorate....

I'd rather eat my own turds than line Livingstone's pocket.
An ideal scenario to enable reading of the said tome without lining the odious little commie's pockets would be utilising that socialist utopia of a "library" - I assume you may have access to one not too far away?Ozzie Osmond said:
Whilst Ken Livingstone may not be to everyone's taste, weren't his policies virtually identical to those of Boris?
Boris (as funny as he is) has got "Green" "Multi-Cuultural" and other "Right On" stuff on the brain. In trying not to appear too right wing he's ended up somewhere slightly to the left of Leon Trotsky.
