I went to a Catholic school and the music teacher there was caught shagging a sixformer in the theatre on the piano, by the deputy head. That was bad enough, but the fact he was slipping one into a male sixformer, made it much worse.

Not just PH to be fair. The law protects the female teacher in that case but would castrate a male teacher. And lets not forget high school is where many girls learn how to control men with a flash of leg and depth of cleavage. I remember when David Sullivan owned the Daily Star years ago and one of the first front pages was of a 15 year old girl with her hands over her tits (Natalie Banus I think). The headline was something like "shes only 15, they are already 42 inches and in 30 days time when she is 16 she will show you her tits).

Still not possible I think as the line is drawn between a teacher and student and I've a feeling you can still get struck off for this. I don't think even lecturers and undergrads can indulge in sexual activites without at least a sacking.There are issues surrounding the possibility of long term grooming and nowadays especially, everyone is very hot on safeguarding children and vulnerable people at all ages.

When I was at school 30 odd years ago one of my teachers went out with a girl in the 6th form. They married a couple of years later. It wasn't frowned upon then and he wasn't that much older than her anyway, maybe 5 years older. He was decent teacher as well, bit of a hippy type who wore John Lennon specs.

angela smith mp (chalvedon school basildon) was with her husband nigel smith as above, not sure if she was 18 or not but it was considered odd especially as the teacher who was known as square head was a complete plank, she wasnt no oil painting either though.this was around 1978 1980 ish.
just looked on wiki and they married in 79 so she can only have been 19 when they married.
i often wondered why it never got any press.
