I'll be voting Boris, Ken is a cretin.
Exactly Boris every day of the week. Unlike that cretin Ken he is an open honest guy with good ideas who listens to what people want and does what people want. He doesnt grandstand and like most african dictators make grand claims which never come to fruition like ken does.

He said he would scrap the bendy busses. He did. He said he would introduce a non taxpayer funded cycle scheme which not only has he done but he has made a success of it to the extent that it is now being extended.

He said he would scrap the cc extension. He did. He said he would try improve public transport and he is.

He is also now pushing for a Thames estuary airport which will create jobs for lots of people in the east london essex and kent region. It will generate huge revenue for the region and to cap it off it will make the lives of all those who live near Heathrow and other airports that were earmarked for expansion better as they wont have more planes flying overhead and even more congested roads.

Actually if he manages to pull it off it will be a fantastic coup as it will in theory ease congestion around the west of london which is getting ever worse.

Nothing of this sort of use or merit would happen under Ken livingstone. He is a champagne socialist and leech on society.

Ken's an awful grey little man, Boris is at least likely to add comedy value. And Ken allegedly once said (in the 80s):

"I hate cars, if I ever get any power again I'd ban the lot."

Which should be anough to convince PH.

Any press conference with Boris is always a laugh- any televised event with Boris, in fact, is great!

Also, I'm a massive fan of the Barclays bike hire scheme- called Boris Bikes by most although I have no idea whether that's because he was genuinely very involved with them or just as it's something that rolls off the tongue and was picked up by the press

Genuinely involved?? Bit of an understatement there. If i understood correctly he pretty much bullied it into fruition.

Boris' main achievement is in not being Ken.

People like Boris because he isn't riddled with hatred and doesn't actually hold any group in contempt nor want to punish any groups for just existing.

Sadly, he will be handing the reigns back to Ken who has the whole of south London and every welfare feeder in his pocket.

The people who swung it for Boris last time won't be voting in anywhere near the numbers needed to keep him in.

It could go either way, but Boris might shade it on a wave of London-Olympics-Euphoria.

Depends on how well it all goes.

Boris for PM?
I cannot see it. People shout Tory toff at Cameron, with Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson they will explode!

Would also vote Boris as I think ken is just a job for the boys man. .

Dont live in London but would Just love to see the back of the congestion bks.

Like to see the data on the CC to see if it has made any good (or bad) differences to the capital.

Boris all the way. He has delivered on his promises, simple as that.

How often can you say that about anyone in power?

I live in London. And I would rise from my death bed and haul myself to the polling booth so that my last act on Earth would be to put a cross in the Boris box.

In the interests of fairness, it's probably best I point out, the Boris Bike was Kens idea.

Fair do's but Ken would either never have got off the ground or it would have been a massive bungle and ended up being scrapped.

Why didn't he call them "Ken bikes" then?

Sadly he only got it last time because his team managed to mobilise taxpayers living on the periphery of the voting zone.

Ken 100% owns inner London and large tracts middle class areas such as Islington.

Boris's people aren't to be seen and I just don't think he stands a chance. In fact I almost wonder if he strategically wants out so he can make the next major move?

True. But they probably would have been red and sponsored by Hugo Chavez. wink

He certainly doesn't like the fact that the stations have been placed so that people with jobs can use them to commute. They were for the 'people' and to date, I only see white, middle class people or people with jobs using them.
