Just watched the video on the evening news. Two quite thick pipes seemed to have been run to the unit. Hosepipe thickness. Anyone care to speculate as to the approach they took?
Fill up with oxy acetylene? Would cause an explosion like that.
This.

Most likely the A342, I would say.

It was popular in Aus years ago, IIRC they started putting alarms/suppression systems in them.

Is there any evidence that this works ,I would have thought the money would be toast. Its time for judges to hand out very stiff sentences for holiday crims.

Yup - I'm not PC.
Odd that crime levels are dropping given that the country is "overrun" by immigrants.

Might not be shown on the available video but they'd have looked a little more professional if they'd thought to take a bag with them to put the cash in.

Maybe something like this?

biggrin

Yes they did appear to not have thought through all the variables.

It's as if they just expected the cash to be there in neat bundles. Looks like they left loads as well.

For some reason I thought of the scene in the film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid with the large explosion to blow the doors of the train and them runing around picking up the cash. Shame there was no truck to pull up , door opens and some Plod cars race out and arrest them.
