The rash in the early summer was due to Ramadan. It's auspicious to blow yourself up during the holy month.

So your bet is on number 5, that'll be £10 Sir.
I only bet when the result of the bet means little or nothing to me or i am 100% sure.

FWIW you are most likely correct. As I type it may even have been confirmed given the speed at which the situation is developing, but sometimes initial reactions and thoughts are best kept in the head until doubt has been removed.

If nothing else it starves the SJWs of some of their oxygen.

More inaction and more Spanish flags on face book.

please everyone stop the sarcastic/whiney repetitive posts about facebook flags please, no one is under the illusion that it's effective action against terrorism - it's just a bit of harmless condolence for those who were affected.
They're a pathetic platitude.

Send a prayer instead. Religion, the cure for all.

hard to see how it will

As with all these things once the idea is out there that you can cause havoc by driving into a crowd it is impossible to stop no matter what the motive of the sicko doing it.

This doesn't sound good frown

Been a few years since I was last there - but I thought Las Ramblas was largely pedestrianised?

In the long run? Either we are finally subjugated and turned into the Islamic Republic of Europstan or there will be massive unrest, riots, virtual civil war, the rise of the extreme political right, mass deportations/iternment etc. There is no pretty endgame.

In the short term (relatively) it doesn't end, it will continue and get worse for decades to come.

It won't. There will always be fundamental religious nut jobs happy to die for their beliefs.

He was driving down the (wide, pedestrianised) middle of the Ramblas.

Which from memory is full of people sitting having drinks and shopping in market stalls.

Hugely congested street at the best of times.

From memory it is one to two lanes wide in most places either side of a central area that is also about 2 lanes wide.

The central area is full of shed shops, florists, news kiosks and the like as well as seating for some bars and restaurants. Just about the perfect sort of place to do an attack like this on and it does lead you to wonder how it was not better 'bollard-ed' off, especially given the events at the start of this year.

I'm in Barcelona. We were just by our hotel and saw a white Transit-size van careering down the middle of the Ramblas mowing people down. It's a major incident.

Don't really want to go into what I've just seen as it's really really not good...
Some will be along soon to reassure you there's more chance of you being killed in an RTA than caught up in a terrorist incident.

Glad you're okay

Wast thinking the same. Well overdue, unfortunately.
I think there was one three days ago in Paris?

I can hardly wait to hear Trump's next comments (even if he has no idea where Spain is).

Nut job using same MO in a rural village near Paris. Nothing to do with the religion of peace.

The French one appears to have been a suicidal French national (had already tried to kill himself) - http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/841087/Paris-c... and not considered a terrorist attack by their police.

You know what? 99.999% of Nazi sympathisers and white supremacists are white males.

As i said in my first post addressing you not the time or place for this discussion (which has been had many, many, times over but your logic is almost as sane and rational as that of any other radicalised extremist.
