Nigel Farage acting like a pin stripe suited wide boy barrow boy on the make? Nooo! Never!

The only thing that shocks me about such a thing is that anybody is shocked.

Personally if I'm being honest Fascist is too strong a term or possibly an exaggeration for effect.
I do however think he's a racist bigot and not very honest.

He is a charismatic character and if I didn't know of his views and he refrained talking about them I could imagine having a pint with him at the local.

I think he is a self publicist who is only in it for himself and what he can get. I don't believe for a second he ever thought he would get a referendum let alone win one.

Now we are leaving i think the reality scares the living bejeasus out of the likes of him and banks hence the back peddling this week.

The main parties will throw him under the bus of public opinion so fast in the event of the EU playing hard ball with the deal.

remember folks europe needs us and they need us buying their exports.

It was interesting to hear Iain Dale on the subject. Basically calling Farage drama queen desperate for attention. Not that I give too much weight to his opinion, but till few days ago I had an impression that they are the bestest of buddies.

There are contemporary witness accounts of Farage as a youth at Dulwich displaying clear fascist tendencies, but obviously that was a very long time ago, and people can change.

An effective classical fascist would be all about ruthless party discipline, the acquisition and retention of sufficient political power to effect economic control and thence suppression of any effective opposition.

Farage and UKIP on the other hand are an amalgam of the Muppet Show, the Underpant Gnomes and Herpes. Clueless, at times hilarious, but fundamentally quite nasty and difficult to completely get rid of.

define:
Fascism is a form of radical authoritarian nationalism, characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition and control of industry and commerce

So much leftist bog dollop, whereas Corbyn and his Marxists bottom feeders left wish to do ALL of the above with added Anti Semitism. nice club you are in Breadvan

I have always said that Farage was fundamentally dishonest. All the usual fanboys have queued up to defend him. Now you can't - it is there for all to see; the guy is a grubby little thief

Absolutely, but fascist is a bit strong so I’d have to disagree with Breadvan there.

I reckon he must have been an Athenian demagogue in a previous life. He can be quite interesting to listen to and at times he has been quite persuasive but ultimately he’s just a scrote who happens to have a way with words.

Think Karma is catching up with Farage.

He stirred the pot for Brexit and then ran away as soon as the hard work of implementation began. Only did half a job. Like a builder who knocks your conservatory down and then f*cks off home and turns his phone off.
And what role do you feel he should have been given.
