I thought she was being lined up as the next Tory leader?

Of course, we could just see the next Tory PM stood at the dispatch box breastfeeding, such is the nonsense that is currently in vogue!

Or Grayson Perry??? silly
Eh?

Terrific news for them both. She's come across positively every time I've seen her, and I do think she would be a good leader for the tory party.

Sounds an awful lot like a matter for the couple themselves, and absolutely nothing to do with anyone else.

So do I, and I'm about as far from a Tory, or Scottish, as I could be.

Welcome to the 21st Century. Things are different. But people who want to be parents are thankfully allowed to bring a much desired child into the world.

Thank God for Google.
I had to resort to Google as well.... smile
Jesus H. Christ!
Have you guys been living in a cave?
I could be labelled as apolitical, but I do try to
keep up with the news and current affairs.

There's something odd about the story that they delayed their wedding because their dog was hit by a car. Apparently a senior politician and her partner don't make enough money to get married and pay a vet's bill in the same year? It sounds like a cover story.
Further down in the BBC report is the line "[Davidson] and Ms Wilson still plan to get married, but she said she was hoping to 'lose some baby weight' first." Hmm. Is Ms Wilson having second thoughts?

To be fair, cash flow? Pet plans don't cover much and it's easy to run up huge bills. I could have bought another car with the money I spent on our dog when she did her cruciate, then broke the same leg this year frown

Its what we're getting here in NZ, Labour get voted in and a month later the new PM is pregnant.

There's no flies on Ruth Davidson, she's very perceptive

I think if you imagined yourself in a similar situation, you'd come up with the very obvious answer to your question.

At the dispatch box might be inappropriate? Not that I'd care, many more serious things to worry about.
Na its fine. Somewhere to rest the baby on when it becomes tiring
