I guess back on the OP, as I mentioned I think the bigger concern with all the distrust in politicians is that we have wealthy supporters breaking the law to influence voting and getting no punishment for it. Although if they got a few years in prison that might actually send a proper message that the process of democracy cannot be influenced this way.
i wonder if the tories involved in the campaign in thanet when farage stood would agree with that ,or will it only be for referenda ? ps, i do agree with you.
